The Chapel Choir of Robinson College, Cambridge

The Chapel Choir of Robinson College, Cambridge consists of both Choral Scholars and auditioned volunteers drawn from both Robinson and other Cambridge Colleges.  The choir is led by the two Organ Scholars with assistance from Dr Jeremy Thurlow, the Chaplain, and our Visiting Guest Conductor, Tim Brown.

Prospective Choral and Organ Scholars may apply via the Cambridge inter-collegiate music awards scheme.  Volunteers are auditioned at the start of Michaelmas Term every year, though talented and interested voices are always welcome to contact the current Organ Scholars for a possible audition mid-year.

The Choir sings two services a week: an Anglican Evensong on Tuesday, and an Evening Service on Sunday.  Honouring the uniquely inter-denominational nature of the Robinson Chapel, the Sunday Evening Service cycles between different traditions of Christian worship every term.  The Choir rehearses before each service and also on Wednesday.

Every choir member is entitled to a free 3-course Formal Hall after Tuesday Evensong.  Choral Scholars and talented Volunteers are subsidised for their singing lessons.  Organ Scholars receive subsidised organ lessons with leading teachers at Cambridge.
