His love of food and the culinary world started since childhood, through travelling and experiencing cuisine around the world. As part of our culinary internship programme at #HospitalitybyDWTC, our interns began a series of educational visits, starting with Waterfront Market. The Waterfront Market is one of Dubai’s leading shopping destinations and a premier fresh food marketplace. Located in the heart of the city, it represents a fusion of traditional Emirati souq and the multicultural spirit of the city in a modern purpose-built facility. Accompanied by senior members of our team, the interns explored an array of fresh seafood, produce, meat, and spices, gaining valuable insights into selecting top-quality ingredients. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Waterfront Market for this enriching experience!

#HospitalitybyDWTC’s team have had a successful few months, earning top honours in two prestigious Emirates Culinary Guild competitions - from winning a record-breaking 48 medals at the 27th edition of the Emirates Salon Culinaire, the Middle East’s most prestigious culinary competition, to winning Gold at the Chef’s Table competition by The Hotel Show Dubai as well as the Best Table and Service Award, competing head to head with 8 other teams. Hear from our Executive Vice President at #DubaiWorldTradeCentre, Mahir Julfar, who delivered an inspiring speech during the launch of the Sustainability Dialogues earlier this week. The new initiative aims to promote sustainability in the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) industry. It featured insightful presentations from the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) on sustainable tourism initiatives, while DXB LIVE showcased advancements in eco-friendly exhibition stands. Informa's Better Stands program, which aims to replace single-use disposable stands with sustainable designs, was also highlighted. The event included discussions on various topics such as waste management, carbon footprint reduction, and the development of sustainable exhibition stands.

Last week, the UAE’s top culinary teams participated in The Emirates Culinary Guild Chef’s Table competition by The Hotel Show Dubai. #HospitalitybyDWTC’s team of skilled kitchen, beverage and service personnel, successfully presented delectable dishes and beverages for 10 guests and 2 jury members. Congratulations to #HospitalitybyDWTC for securing two awards; the ‘Best Service Team’ trophy, and a gold medal for the kitchen team.

The event brings together the best culinary teams from across the country, with competitors preparing and serving a full course menu of food and beverages to 10 guests and 2 jury members. Congratulations to the #HospitalitybyDWTC team in winning one Gold medal, the ‘Best Kitchen Team’ for their preparation of delightful cuisines, and the ‘Best Service Team’ for their service and extensive knowledge on the dishes prepared.
