Meet, Oscar, our talented Business Development Administrator here at RCT.   Based at our Perth HQ, Oscar manages RCT’s tender response process.   He is responsible for reviewing tender requirements to understand client’s needs and functional requirements to make recommendations to the team based on core business alignment, strategy and capabilities.   In addition to this, Oscar spends his time working on the commercial side of contracts, reviewing pricing and profitability.   When Oscar isn’t hard at work, he loves spending quality time with family and friends, reading, travelling and being outdoors.   #RCTPeople #RCT #BusinessDevelopmentAdministrator #Tenders #Contracts

20 years ago, Phill Dean started with RCT in our Customer Service department as a Field Service Technician.   With a background as an Automotive Electrical Engineer, he worked in the Pilbara with BHP for over a decade before relocating to a Perth-based role where he could utilise his background and experience in mining to the next working challenge.   After several years of field service works included as a Certified RCT Trainer, he transitioned across to RCT’s Industrial Group where the focus was on providing safety solutions to the emerging Industrial market. It was here where he used his skills to help to develop a multitude of solutions.   After about four years, Phill moved into a sales role a RCT where he still works today. As a Key Account Manager, Phill is in charge of clients in Perth, South West, Mid West, Pilbara, Kimberley, Northern Territory and South Australia regions.   Phill says he enjoys his role and interacting with people, seeing the variety of mining sites effectively managing technology issues, safety, or production with a fit-for-purpose solutions.   “The changing dynamics of technology and enabling business groups to be at the forefront of effective utilisation to drive productivity and safety is especially rewarding,” said Phill.   Thanks for all your hard work over the last few decades, Phill! RCT first deployed our Vehicle Monitoring solution on a mine site in Kalgoorlie with astounding results.   The client came to RCT for a solution to address the excessive costs they were experiencing to their light vehicle fleets with the aim of lessening undue wear and tear on vehicle components and reduce these costs.   The solution was installed on three light vehicles and on a personnel carrier over the space of a year, the company experienced a momentous reduction in the overall running costs, resulting in improved profit margins.   In addition to this vehicle downtime was reduced and safety was improved on site.   The results were so impressive, the Vehicle Monitoring Solution was implemented at the contractor’s other sites. Our talented Kalgoorlie-based Field Service Technician, George Rugless recently visited a client in the Goldfields for their scheduled, three-monthly servicing of our Automation system on a Sandvik LH517i loader. This servicing ensures our state-of-the-art technology is always running optimally.    George worked in with our client to complete the Automation service along with their technicians who were completing a machine service at the same time.
