IETM endorses the statement issued by Cultural Deal for Europe partners Culture Action Europe, Europa Nostra and European Cultural Foundation on the Election of the European Parliament’s CULT Committee Chair. The statement urges for culture to be given the highest priority by the European Union Institutions, including the European Parliament. This should be duly and strongly demonstrated with the election of an adequate pro-European Chair of the European Parliament’s Committee on Culture and Education (CULT). The statement also calls upon the European Parliament— particularly the Conference of Presidents and the future members of the CULT Committee—to ensure that the appointment of the Chair, Vice-Chairs and members of the CULT Committee is made with great care. ➡️ Read and share the full statement: https://lnkd.in/evzWyDnt

🖐🏼 Our member Varna Dance Theater is calling for advice from their fellow members and beyond! After the IETM Sofia Plenary Meeting 2024, 18 IETM members and international professionals participated in a post-meeting trip to Varna to explore the creation of a new venue for contemporary dance and performing arts 🎖 The group identified a marine harbour building in the Port of Varna - Magazia 7 - as the most suitable space 💭 Following the model of TOPLOCENTRALA Center for Contemporary Arts in Sofia, the Varna Dance Theater team are looking for insights, advice and examples to build a cultural landmark that enriches the artistic landscape of Varna ➡️ Discover how to get involved: https://lnkd.in/eePtV7A6
