We are enhancing Biodiversity at our premises! Our Sint-Truiden site is located amid an industry zone and covers a relatively small area on a national scale. Despite this, we value the importance of “life on land” and want to contribute where we can. Therefore, in 2023, we sowed several plots at our Sint-Truiden premises with a flower mixture containing various plant species. Last week, our 'Life on Land' Sustainable Development (SDG) team, with the help of an external environmental organization, conducted an inventory of the plant species present at our premises. We are happy to share that they identified 94 different plant species, three of which are relatively rare! Based on the group’s recommendations, we intend to take further action to maintain and further increase the biodiversity at our site! 🚀 Amplifying success through collaboration! We don’t only celebrate new customers, but nurture all our existing business relations! Today, we are excited to reflect on our remarkable collaboration with NIO, a leading Chinese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer. In 2018, Punch Powertrain and XPT, a subsidiary of NIO, launched a dynamic joint venture named 'Weibang Transmission' to produce and supply cutting-edge electric powertrains for customers of both partners. Within the year, Weibang had successfully delivered its first EV reducers to NIO. Since then, they have proudly delivered over 450.000 units. In 2022, Weibang’s commitment to quality and reliability was honoured with the prestigious ‘NIO Shouwang Partner Award’. 'Shouwang,' meaning 'reliable' in Chinese, perfectly encapsulates Weibang’s dedication to excellence.
