After 16 years of dedicated service in the Portuguese Army a journey marked by challenges, personal and professional growth, and numerous enriching experiences I decided to embark on a new career. This decision was not taken lightly, as each year spent in the army significantly contributed to shaping the person and professional I am today. During my time in the Portuguese Army, I had the opportunity to develop various skills. From team leadership to resource management under pressure, each experience reinforced the importance of discipline, resilience, and teamwork. Rigorous training and exposure to diverse risk situations also taught me to stay calm and make strategic decisions in critical moments. However, after 16 years, I felt it was time to explore new opportunities and apply the skills I had acquired in a different environment. That’s when i have opportunity to join Atlas Copco Rental Solutions. The transition to civilian life was facilitated by my adaptability and willingness to learn. This new phase of my career, just two days to make an year, has been equally challenging and rewarding. At Atlas Copco, I work as a specialized technician, utilizing many of the principles I learned in the army. The company has provided a dynamic environment where innovation and excellence are valued. This first year at Atlas Copco has been a steep learning curve, with each day bringing new challenges and projects. The journey from the Portuguese Army to Atlas Copco symbolizes a transition from a disciplined military career to a dynamic corporate environment, demonstrating that the skills and values acquired in military service can be highly valuable and transferable to the industrial sector.
