  • 21 Associates from our Europe Headquarters & Engineering Center (EHEC) in Germany proudly represented AAM at the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge Half Marathon, the world’s largest corporate running event held annually in 16 locations across eight countries and six continents. Sporting special AAM 30th birthday jerseys, they achieved an impressive average running time of 38:24 and secured global and local rankings among 63,000 other runners.

  • Our Rotenburg Manufacturing Facility (RGMF) in Germany recently donated €1,000 to Ronshausen Elementary School to support their circus show. Over 110 students transformed into circus performers, learning from real circus artists like magicians, clowns, artists and jugglers. Melanie Mell, Coordinator – Human Resources at RGMF, presented the donation, which helped fund the event and provided students with a unique fairground and circus experience.

  • In honor of Juneteenth, AAM’s Detroit-based Black Associate Network recently visited the Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA) to explore exhibits dedicated to African American history and culture. They viewed the Regeneration: Black Cinema 1898-1971 exhibit, which highlights the often-overlooked contributions of Black filmmakers in American cinema. The group also toured the Tiff Massey exhibit, showcasing the award-winning Detroit artist's jewelry, sculpture and multimedia work inspired by 1980s hip-hop culture and her Detroit roots, all while engaging with historical artifacts and contemporary artworks that honor the legacy and impact of African American artists.

  • As part of AAM's partnership with Winning Futures, an organization dedicated to emPOWERing Metro Detroit students through workforce preparation and mentoring, we were honored to sponsor and attend the Winning Futures 2024 Awards Celebration! Representing AAM was Elise Churchill, Director – Global HR Operations, who had the privilege of taking the stage to congratulate one of 16 scholarship recipients and join them for a photo.

  • Our Three Rivers Manufacturing Facility (TRMF) in Michigan recently hosted Western Michigan University students for a facility tour. The students explored TRMF’s operations and learned about quality processes, production planning, safety protocols and environmental safety. They also saw new machining lines and learned about teamwork on complex projects before leaving with AAM-branded swag. Go Broncos!

  • AAM’s Black Associate Network, Young Professionals and LATIN Associate Resource Groups (ARG) recently hosted a leadership and emotional intelligence workshop featuring Master Certified Coach Cathy Mott at our World Headquarters (WHQ) in Detroit. #TeamAAM learned about the importance of developing a healthy relationship with oneself, identified their leadership styles and viewed the four quadrants of emotional intelligence through interactive group exercises.
