Preplanning or basic engineering is one of the first parts of the engineering process. The idea is to capture information early on in the engineering process and be able to use that data downstream in the other engineering steps. To start your electrical engineering, you need to get your data. Last week we held an onboarding bootcamp for our new employees. Eplan organises this event up to four times a year to ensure a successful start for new colleagues. The focus is on getting to know the company and its culture, as well as networking. 🤝 The group of 20 was internationally diverse. We had colleagues from Germany, Belgium, Austria, Italy, Portugal, Finland, Canada and South Africa in Monheim. Over the course of four days, we presented Eplan's portfolio and placed special emphasis on training soft skills for everyday work. A particular highlight was the visit to the Rittal Innovation Centre in Haiger and the local Smart Factory. After the "brainwork" of the previous days, the participants were given the opportunity to try their hand at building control cabinets. 👩🔧 The overall aim of the event is to strengthen the sense of community within the company, to learn new things and surpass one's own limits.
