Hanseatic Energy Hub
Erdöl und Gas
LNG Terminal in Stade, Germany combining location and concept to provide future-oriented energy solutions
Info
The Hanseatic Energy Hub (HEH) is a terminal for liquefied natural gases at the industrial site of Stade. The independent hub diversifies German industry's long-term import needs for affordable energy. In a first expansion stage, a zero-emission LNG terminal is to be operated from 2027, with infrastructure also approved for bio-LNG and SNG. The planned regasification capacity is 13,3 bcm/a and a feed-in capacity of 21.7 GW, to be adjusted in line with market response. With the development of new climate-neutral energy sources, the hub will also facilitate the import of hydrogen-based energy carriers. HEH shareholders are the Buss Group from Hamburg, the gas infrastructure operator Fluxys (Belgium), Partners Group (Switzerland) and Dow (Stade). https://www.hanseatic-energy-hub.de/impressum/ https://www.hanseatic-energy-hub.de/datenschutz/

The success story in Stade continues! In record time, Niedersachsen Ports GmbH & Co. KG has completed the jetty for liquefied gases (AVG) and handed it over to the future operators at the weekend. From February 2024, according to DET Deutsche Energy Terminal GmbH, an FSRU chartered by the German government will dock in Stade for transition and secure Germany's gas supply. From 2027, the FSRU will be replaced by our onshore terminal, which will make an important contribution to securing Europe’s energy supplies over the coming decades. Initially with LNG, Bio-LNG and synthetic gases. And later with hydrogen in the form of ammonia. The jetty for liquefied gases (AVG) and the associated superstructure, which were completed by the Lower Saxony seaport company NPorts, are designed to be convertible on a modular basis to hydrogen-derived energy sources similar to the building block approach used in power and energy systems. #hanseaticenergyhub #energytransition #stade
