🌞 Powering Progress - Expanding Our Photovoltaic Systems   In 2023, Knorr-Bremse made significant strides in renewable energy, producing approximately 5,600 MWh - an impressive increase of around 3,200 MWh from the previous year. This progress is driven by the expanded implementation of our Photovoltaic (PV) Systems, which now generate self-produced renewable electricity for multiple locations worldwide.   📍 A standout example is Acuña, Mexico, where our two Bendix plants have been harnessing solar power since December 2022. Each plant roof is equipped with 1,296 solar panels, projecting a future total output of around 2,000 MWh annually. This initiative has reduced CO2e emissions there by 835 tons per year.   📍 Additionally, since 2022, four new PV systems have been supplying Knorr-Bremse with green electricity across Australia. Larger systems were installed in Granville, with 728 solar modules (300 kWp), and in Darra, with 242 modules (100 kWp). 🌟 Our amazing team rocked the B2Run in Munich. 🏅 Yesterday, more than 30,000 athletes gave their all - including around 120 sports enthusiasts from Knorr-Bremse. They powered through the 5-kilometer course with unwavering energy and enthusiasm! 👏👏👏 The course took the athletes through Munich's iconic Olympic Park, with the finish line inside the historic Olympic Stadium! What an incredible experience it was to see our colleagues cross the finish line, exhilarated and proud! Afterwards, the thirsty athletes relaxed and celebrated with refreshing non-alcoholic cocktails at the Knorr-Bremse stand. It was the perfect way to end a great day.
