We are pleased to announce, that the Federal Economics Minister Robert Habeck presented the funding decisions in Berlin today for two significant hydrogen projects in Hamburg: Luxcara and our project partner Hamburger Energiewerke GmbH will receive funding for the Hamburg Green Hydrogen Hub (HGHH) project. Together, we are building a 100 MW electrolyzer for green hydrogen on the site of the former Moorburg coal-fired power plant. Gasnetz Hamburg, the municipal network operator, is receiving funding for the construction of the first 40 kilometers of the HH-WIN hydrogen distribution network. This week our Managing Partner Alexandra Bernstorff travelled to Berlin to attend the BDEW Congress 2024. We are very grateful for a productive panel discussion on the ramp-up of the green hydrogen economy. Reflecting on the congress slogan "Gemeinsam einfach machen." We are proud to announce that we have been awarded the Hybrid Project of the Year Award for the Hamburg Green Hydrogen Hub (HGHH) project and were highly commended for the Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion Award at this year's Wind Investment Awards 2024! It makes us incredibly proud to be recognized for both our team culture and our achievements in accelerating the energy transition.   The judges stated that "Luxcara seems to be born to be fully DEI compliant. Their successful gender balance and female leadership is highly commendable" and described the winning project HGHH as "well prepared and designed, with a quantified and sustainable market impact and a truly remarkable approach to offtake of green hydrogen. This week, we had the pleasure to host the Power-to-X Leadership Council, a working group that brings together leading P2X developers, financiers and off-takers to discuss and tackle some of the complex challenges facing early green hydrogen and green fuels projects (by Tamarindo). In the morning, we used the opportunity to show our guests the site of the Hamburg Green Hydrogen Hub (#HGHH). On the ground of the former Moorburg coal power plant, we are building a 100 WM electrolyzer together with Hamburger Energiewerke GmbH. In the afternoon working group session at our brand new Luxcara office, the council covered topics including the future of green shipping, the role of industrial clusters, large-scale project finance, and the state of the German domestic market. We are pleased to share that we have achieved financial close for a solar PV portfolio located in Denmark with BayernLB. The portfolio has an installed capacity of 315.7 MWp. The Danish portfolio is one of Northern Europe’s largest solar power plant sets. It consists of three large-scale projects, two in the region of Zealand and one in Jutland. Running into the long weekend like these adorable sheep in one of our solar parks in Andalusia, Spain. Part of our active asset management approach at Luxcara is to support local practices and make use of beneficial synergies: In this case, a local shepherd can let his flock graze on the grass of our solar park. This reduces maintenance costs, as we do no longer have to cut the grass mechanically. #energytransition #activeassetmanagement #sheep

Back home in Hamburg after an exciting week at the Infrastructure Investor Global Summit in Berlin! We had many great face-to-face meetings with our long-standing and (potential) new investors in our separate meeting location. Our signature dinner, held in an exclusive setting at a nearby restaurant, once again provided a wonderful opportunity for engaging conversations in a relaxed atmosphere.
