During a recent visit to San Francisco, our founder Christian Sauer heard an investor say, "I only invest in companies I can reach by bicycle." This statement got Chris thinking about how some people still don't get the potential of remote work. In our latest article Chris shares about his previous company where they had a team of around 50 developers working on a large software project. Despite their best efforts, they always had around 300 open issues - some minor, some major, some easy to fix, and some really challenging. Then Covid hit. You won't believe what happened later: the 300 open issues were reduced to a mere 35. How did this happen? Well, developers often have a unique personality type. They tend to be introverted and not very communicative, requiring concentration and focus to tackle their development challenges. If a salesperson enters their office to ask for something minor, they might lose their train of thought and have to start all over again. At soonami, we're taking this philosophy to the next level. Fact is, every founder goes through the same initial steps of startup development before they get that first investment cheque. It always starts with a solid idea, then you focus on finding a co-founder, building an MVP, getting all the paperwork in order, creating a pitch video and deck, putting together a business plan, figure out all the legal and regulatory requirements, and lastly start marketing your product.
