After the workshop is before the conference! Today our ZEISS Experience Days 2024 come to an end. Over two days there were exciting presentations and lots of feedback and suggestions for all participants in our recently re-equipped ZEISS Demo Dome. We (ZEISS Planetarium Division) would like to thank all participants for a successful and enjoyable workshop. We wish everyone a safe journey back home and look forward to seeing (most of) you again this Sunday in Berlin for the IPS conference. #zeissplanetariums #zeissexperiencedays #zeiss #planetarium #IPS2024

Experience Days 2024 at ZEISS The ZEISS planetarium division presents the latest version of UNIVIEW technology as part of the 100th anniversary of planetariums The ZEISS Planetarium division is hosting the Experience Days 2024 from July 17 to 19, 2024. More than 30 international planetarium enthusiasts and customers will meet at ZEISS in Jena over three days to learn about the new products and discover specific application examples. “With the Experience Days 2024, we want to provide exciting insights into the world of ZEISS planetariums and present our latest applications in our modern Demo Dome, especially in the context of the 100th anniversary of planetariums,” says Martin Kraus, Head of Planetariums at ZEISS. In various workshops, participants can experience the planetarium software ZEISS UNIVIEW Software Suite. According to Kraus, the current generation of the UNIVIEW Software Suite makes it possible to control all aspects of the planetarium intuitively and easily - from the projection system and external devices such as the dome lighting to the creation of presentations and their presentation. Planetarium shows can be created and then shown automatically. The display options range from a detailed model of the International Space Station ISS, the planet Earth, the solar system and the Milky Way to cosmic background radiation. #zeissplanetariums #zeissuniview #experiencedays

Only 3 weeks to go until the IPS conference in Berlin. Of course, we from ZEISS Planetariums will also be present and look forward to meeting all planetarians and planetarium enthusiasts who will be attending. We invite you to visit us at our booth in the exhibitor hall of the arena. We have prepared something very special for this year's event (picture). A small hint: it is not an edible product, but has the potential to bring joy even months after the IPS. #zeissplanetariums #ips2024 #planetarium #conference

On June 20, 1964, the Vienna Planetarium of the "Wiener Volkshochschulen" was opened at its present location at the Vienna Prater. On this occasion, representatives of public life as well as friends, sponsors and employees of the planetarium came together to celebrate its 60th anniversary. Representatives from ZEISS Planetariums also attended the event to offer their warmest congratulations. We wish all the best for a successful future. Fun facts for insiders: The history of the ZEISS and Planetarium in Vienna dates back to 1927. Originally located in front of the "Messepalast", the planetarium was a sensation in its early years. The institution later moved to Praterstern, where it was destroyed in 1945. The new building was constructed between 1962 and 1964. Photo: In celebration of the day, entire universes could be swallowed, symbolically in the shape of cinnamon buns, presented by Michael Ludwig, Mayor of the City of Vienna (center position behind the table, photo by M. Imani, Aki, and John are three friends from an alien solar system. While on a space exploration mission, something routine for their tribe, they distractedly neglect their onboard “chores,” leading their ship to crash on an unknown planet – Earth. The accident damages the life-support system that sustains the cherished forest they keep onboard, which gives them their vital Yumi-Plumi fruits. However, forests in their society are usually taken care of by robots. With no knowledge of plant care or any means of contacting their elders, they are fortunate to be able to turn to the planetarium audience for help. All hope now rests on the Earth children, who help the Stellars discover what plants need to survive and to rescue their Yumi Plumi forest. There is a race against time – will the children be able to figure out the successive elements needed to nourish the plants? #zeissshowdistribution #creativeplanet #thestellars #fulldome #premiere #newshow
