ESMC _ Gas and Chemical Engineer

Gas and Chemical Engineer

The role:

Join our team as a Gas and Chemical Systems Engineer and take charge of developing and project managing systems critical to semiconductor facility operations and maintenance. You will be part of a dedicated team to ensure the smooth supply and effective operations oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sustaining engineering support of equipment for gas, chemical, waste-chemical and slurry distribution systems.
• Ensure operations oversight and maintenance of sustaining systems for capacity vs demand
• Coordinate maintenance activities with section members to minimize downtime and optimize system performance.
• Drive proactive risk management and continuous improvement of the defense ability, reliability and quality of our supply system.
• Add hoc trouble shooting in coordination with and as part of the Emergency Response Team (ERT).
• Create and communicate comprehensive project documentation including sequence of operations, installation procedures, and checklists for commissioning and Fab start-up.
• Manage facility gas, chemical, waste-chemical, and slurry system expansion implementation and modification projects.
• Collaborate closely with 3rd party suppliers and outsourced contractors to ensure high quality and coordinate seamless operations and efficient task execution.
• Work hand-in-hand with operations and maintenance teams to develop plans for maximizing operational and maintenance efficiency.
• Drive the enhancement of professional capabilities among outsourced engineers and internal team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Lead various cross-sectional projects organizational goals and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Improve professional capability of outsource engineers and members in the organization.

Qualifications and Education:

• Master’s degree or bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or relative education and background with minimum of 3 years experiences in gas and chemical operation, better in semi-conductor industry.
• Demonstrate strong cross-functional communication skills and problem-solving abilities, facilitating efficient collaboration across teams.
• Flexible and open minded to learn and go above and beyondalso when additional duties as required.

Language Skills:

• Fluent German and English is required.
• Conversational Mandarin is a plus.

Professional Skills:

• Passionate about driving innovation and excellence in semiconductor facility operations.
• Passionate about pushing the boundaries of technology while maintaining the highest standards of operational excellence and safety.
• Capable of project management and great communication skill. Ability of cross function communication and problem solving.
• Must be willing to move between Germany and Taiwan.
