Health Safety Environment Officer

Strategic Staffing International’s Customer, KN Energies (one of the largest companies of energy resources logistics in the Baltic States, specializing in oil and gas industry) has recently won a tender launched by Deutsche Energy Terminal GmbH (DET), the state-owned entity, to provide technical operation and maintenance services for the LNG terminal Wilhelmshaven.

We are looking for an HSE Officer in an FSRU based LNG import terminal in Wilhelmshaven.

Brief responsibilities include management of integrated HSEQ System and implementation of ERP, constant assessment and renewal of HSEQ risks, participation in audits and inspections while ensuring compliance with applicable rules, regulations, operational and HSEQ KPIs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develops, maintains and improves Integrated HSEQ Management System
• Ensures compliance and implementation of requirements arising from local and national legislation
• Implements organization’s HSEQ policy, ensures familiarization for relevant internal and external stakeholders
• Tracks, monitors and strives out to reach HSEQ objectives and KPIs, reports progress
• Ensures overall emergency preparedness for the organization, reviews and updates emergency response plan as may be required, organizes emergency drills
• Identifies and track employee training requirements, organizes trainings
• Establishes and maintains Permit to Work system
• Plans and conducts internal audits, coordinates inspections and third-party audits. Coordinates finding elimination process
• Procures and manages Personal Protective Equipment, ensures safety needs for the employees are met
• Reviews, revises and updates HSEQ related risks
• Prepares and implements communications plan for HSEQ activities and legislative changes to ensure awareness for staff
• Registers and investigates HSE incidents, coordinates follow-up actions

QUALIFICATION, CERTIFICATES AND EXPERIENCE:

• University degree in engineering, environmental and safety or related field
• 3 years+ experience as HSEQ manager or HSE Coordinator in oil and natural gas, petrochemical, power generation or other production company or logistic/transportation sector
• In depth knowledge and practical application of Health & Safety Legislation
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14 001, 45 001 standards would be considered as an advantage;
• Experience in preparing and maintaining professional documentation related to integrated HSEQ management systems
• Fluency (B2 or higher) in English and German languages

Salary: 4500-6500 EUR gross monthly
