We're looking for a Health and Safety Manager to join our team in Europe, covering Poeldijk, Netherlands and Munich, Germany.

The successful candidate will be based in Poeldijk, Netherlands, and will be responsible for overseeing and implementing health and safety protocols across our operations in the Netherlands and Germany.

Responsibilities include:

• Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, national, and international regulations.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 45001 certification standards and maintain the certification.
• Provide training and support to employees on health and safety practices.
• Investigate and report on workplace incidents and near misses, including the development of strategies to prevent future occurrences.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure that the company is up to date with current health and safety legislation.
• Promote a culture of safety with continuous improvement to safety procedures and safety awareness within the organization.
  
  
  

Requirements

Essential

• Prior experience in a health and safety role required.
• Must have prior knowledge of ISO 45001 certification standards.
• Fluency in English and Dutch is required at an advanced level; German fluency is highly advantageous.
• Able and willing to travel to other European facilities when required.
  
  

Desirable

• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and legislation in both the Netherlands and Germany.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, particularly in understanding risk assessments, processes and techniques.
• Ability to travel regularly between the Netherlands and Germany.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and health and safety management software.
• Strong leadership and project management skills.
• Ability to conduct thorough investigations and generate comprehensive reports.
• Excellent communications skills with the ability to influence and engage employees at all levels within the business.
