Our global wind industry draws strength from a diverse workforce. We are proud to support and celebrate our employees, encouraging all to bring their authentic self to the workplace. Pride month has been celebrated throughout our LM factories with leadership and employees joining together for onsite learning opportunities and celebrations. We have several Employee Resource Groups throughout the business, including the Pride Alliance, giving a voice and forum for allyship and advocacy. At out sites in Ponferrada, Spain and Dabaspet, India, teams gathered in colourful and celebratory events to promote respect, inclusion, and equal opportunities for all. These kind of events are driven by the passion of our employees at sites and we thank them for continuing to provide an inclusive space for all! #pridemonth #celebratepride #diversity #pridealliance

LM Wind Power wants to wish everybody a happy Global Wind Day for tomorrow, June 15! At our headquarters in Kolding, we had breakfast together, and at LM Goleniów, our factory in Poland, employees got into the mood early with a celebratory coffee break. Third and 4th from left are Joanna and Sebastian Wiatr – whose surname literally means “wind” in Polish -a perfect personal brand for this business!  During the break, both shared stories of their career paths at the factory. Joanna’s career stretches over 13 years, while Sebastian has been with us for more than 15. Both are role models of constant development in the organization. If you want to join the celebration of people working in wind, sign up for the Global Wind campaign that starts tomorrow #WorkingInWind #GlobalWindDay #WeKnowBlades #WindAmbassador

LM Wind Power works closely with stakeholders across the value chain, including policy makers, to share our knowledge and expertise in the #wind industry. Today we welcomed Asger Christensen, MEP (Member of the European Parliament) to our R&D site in Lunderskov, Denmark. CEO Hanif Mashal and team shared insights on the importance of the wind industry in Europe and the relevancy LM Wind Power brings to wind industry; pioneering & record-breaking within the wind-industry with 40+ years’ experience of design, manufacturing 275,000+ blades. While the wind sector faces many challenges, we are encouraged by the continued interest in reliable, sustainable energy by stakeholders in Europe and around the world.

Arun Sasidharan, Regional Sales Leader for India, participated in a panel discussion organized by WindInsider - the India Wind Energy Forum 2024. The discussion focused on manufacturing excellence, supply chain optimization, and strategic asset management in the wind industry for optimal performance.   During the session, he emphasized the critical role of wind in the energy transition and deliberated on the need to maintain a positive financial ecosystem for sustained growth in the wind industry. Arun also highlighted LM Wind Power's collaborative work with suppliers and recycling partners to promote circular manufacturing and recycling of wind turbine blades.   For over three decades, LM Wind Power has contributed to India's transition to green power, having produced more than 50,000 blades and contributing to almost one-third of the country’s installed capacity. Sustainability in Action: Repurposing Wind Turbine Blades for Urban Landscapes. Today, we are proud to be a part of the  project to revitalize urban spaces by the Culture Committee in Kolding, Denmark, where LM Wind Power has it’s headquarter. The municipality opened the project “Blades for repurpose” for which we partnered with design studio KirtXThomsen and local artist Bo Virvar to make this project happen. Repurposing wind turbine blades aligns with sustainable principles by giving these large structures a second life instead of disposing of them in landfills, reduces the environmental impact associated with their disposal and promotes a circular economy approach. The unique shapes and sizes of wind turbine blades offers endless creative possibilities for architects and artists to explore, adding character and charm to public spaces. The blades can be transformed into functional urban amenities such as benches, shelters, playground equipment, or even pedestrian bridges. The blade on display at Kolding harbor originates from LM Wind Power’s plant in Lunderskov and was deployed on the world’s first offshore wind farm, Vindeby, which was commissioned in 1991 and decommissioned in 2017. Today, offshore blades have multiplied in size, with current models exceeding 100 meters in length. Remarkably, LM Wind Power's 107-meter blades are currently powering GE Vernova’s Haliade-X wind turbines at the Dogger Bank Wind Farm, poised to become the world’s largest upon completion.

The week of Earth Day was honored at LM Wind Power with a weeklong Energy Kaizen events across all our manufacturing sites and development labs. On the picture, you can see our team in the factory in Goleniów that ran an Energy and Safety in ergonomic Kaizen, building awareness within the team and creating ergonomic solutions on the shop floor.   Since 2018, LM Wind Power has been a carbon neutral business for scope 1 and 2 emissions – the first in the wind industry. Our commitment to purchasing 100% renewable electricity persisted in 2023, resulting in a saving of over 80,000 tCO2e compared to sourcing non-renewable electricity from the grid.   Despite our procurement of 100% renewable electricity, the imperative to diminish energy consumption persists as it remains a substantial contributor to our footprint. Thus, ongoing efforts to reduce consumption remain a critical focus area for us. As a manufacturing business, our main emissions come from resources and energy used in our operations. Reducing consumption reduces emissions and cost.   All our global sites have prepared plans for reducing energy consumption and our carbon footprint with kaizen events, and the outcomes already exceeds expectations. The generated awareness and dedicated participation in the energy efficiency kaizens emphasize our commitment to the LM Wind Power vision: Together, we capture the wind to power a sustainable world. #WeKnowBlades #Sustainability

The WindEurope Annual event in Bilbao is in full swing and our CEO Hanif Mashal has been making waves. Today, he shared his insights on two panels. During the first panel on “Strategic agenda for wind R&I,” Hanif emphasized the need for increased investment in manufacturing quality and transport & logistics to drive sustainability and innovation. In the second session, he stressed the importance of safety and quality in blade design and manufacturing. Hanif highlighted that the blade manufacturing process is more like the construction industry, requiring highly skilled workers for quality outcomes. We are committed to integrating design and production using lean principles to deliver value to our stakeholders. #WindEnergy #Sustainability #ManufacturingQuality #BladeDesign
