Meet DI Member: Pernille Lydia Sørensen     From a Simple Irritation to a Sustainable Movement 🌱    In 2019, Pernille Lydia Sørensen faced a familiar problem: she needed to hang a shelf in her London apartment but lacked a simple hammer drill.     This small irritation was the spark for something big. 💡    What if there was a place where we could share the things we only use occasionally?     From this, Pernille's idea for Monto sprouted—a platform that not only saves money and the environment but also sparks our curiosity and inner child. The idea pressed so much that she had to take action.  Pernille resigned from her good and stable job and started developing the platform.    Today, Monto operates as an app and a website to promote a sustainable community around sharing tools, equipment, and gadgets.    It hasn't been smooth sailing to get Monto where it is today. At DI - Dansk Industri, we're committed to building bridges and tackling this challenge head-on with our friends at Look Up Ventures 💪 We recently brought together the most promising and inspiring founders, academia, the industry, and the finance sector to explore solutions to this pressing issue. The goal? 👀 To make more capital for scale accessible for game-changing climate tech. This morning, the Minister for Industry, Business, and Financial Affairs, Morten Bødskov, and the Minister for Digitalization and Equality, Marie Bjerre, visited us at DI - Dansk Industri for a breakfast event about the impact of the entrepreneurship strategy on Danish startups 👏🏼 We are overall very positive about the initiative, and we are pleased that something is finally happening in the field of entrepreneurship. It is particularly positive that Danish startups are getting better access to risk-willing capital and that we are creating better conditions for female founders. These are initiatives that strengthen the sense of security for entrepreneurs and something which women in particular have pointed out as an important framework condition. On stage, we had three of our startup members: Jarl Engelbrecht Vindnæs from Stykka, Marie Grew from Moonboon and Line Kloster Pedersen from Visibuilt. Their perspectives are invaluable in illustrating the impact of the initiative in practice and the ongoing negotiations. More than 120 startups and representatives from the ecosystem attended, underlining the importance of the strategy and how welcome it has been received in the environment.
