🎉 Congratulations to Paul Erik Olli on his Physics, Chemistry and Materials Science graduation from the University of Tartu! 🎓 Paul is the first young scientist to complete Stargate Hydrogen’s Rising Star Scholarship Program. We’re excited to see Paul's impact on the Hydrogen and renewable energy field. It is an honour to have him as a member of the Stargate Hydrogen team. Here’s to a future filled with innovation and success! 🍾 Here are some words from Paul:  “My three years of studies on the Physics, Chemistry and Materials Science curriculum’s chemistry specialisation have come to an end. On June 21st, I graduated cum laude from the University of Tartu and earned my Bachelor of Science degree. As the recipient of Stargate Hydrogen’s “Rising Star” scholarship, I am very thankful to Stargate for its support throughout my studies. During this time, I completed an internship at Stargate, wrote whitepapers on hydrogen applications and a hydrogen-themed article at the popular science magazine Horisont, and had the opportunity to be involved in Stargate’s undertakings. Stargate has been the gateway towards the stars I am reaching for. 🌎 Exciting news! We've welcomed some more incredible interns to the Stargate Hydrogen team this year. Introducing Neus and Jakub, two passionate individuals contributing fresh ideas and enthusiasm to our engineering projects.   🌟 Meet Neus Sunyer i Pons, our Electrochemistry intern 🌟 Neus is currently pursuing a PhD in electrochemistry at the Institute of Chemical Research of Catalunya (ICIQ), focusing on renewable and green energy vectors such as CO2 reduction and hydrogen production. At Stargate, she is developing new cathode materials for hydrogen production, testing their activity and long-term stability. 💬 "I come from an academic environment, and I decided to join @Stargate because I wanted to learn more about the process between laboratory and industry. My objective in the future is to work in a company that allows me to bring my research beyond the laboratory scale."   🌟 Meet Jakub Zdankiewicz, our Materials Engineering intern 🌟 Jakub is doing his master’s degree in materials engineering at Gdańsk University of Technology. His thesis focuses on catalysts for plastic pyrolysis to maximize hydrogen yield. At Stargate, he is assisting with the electrochemical etching of electrodes and will also be working on electrode coating. 💬 "I’m super excited because this internship is my first experience with R&D in industry. I chose Stargate because I want to be a part of hydrogen technologies development, which I believe is crucial in the energy transition.”   Neus and Jakub's dedication and fresh perspectives are already making a difference at Stargate Hydrogen. 🌟Have you heard? We’ve got some pretty cool interns on the team this year at Stargate Hydrogen. Allow us to introduce Aleksandr Utenko and Asad Mehmood, two bright minds bringing fresh perspectives to our engineering team.   👨🎓 Meet Aleksandr Utenko, our Process Engineering intern. Aleksandr just finished his 4th year at the University of Edinburgh, majoring in Chemical Engineering. With experience as an Analytical Chemist and Process Engineer Intern, he’s now diving into developing a steady-state simulation of our improved alkaline electrolysis systems at Stargate. 💬 "Joining Stargate Hydrogen for my master's thesis is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge development in sustainable energy solutions. This experience allows me to apply my academic knowledge to real-world challenges, enhancing both my technical and practical skills. I am super glad to be here."   👨🎓 Meet Asad Mehmood, our Engineering intern. Asad completed his bachelor's in mechanical engineering in Pakistan and is pursuing a master's in innovative and sustainable energy engineering at Aalto University, Finland. Passionate about clean energy, he’s working on the stack cost analysis of electrolyzers and gaining hands-on knowledge with the alkaline stack and its components. 💬 “Overall, I’ve gained a lot of knowledge and improved my skills. It’s been inspiring to work in such a collaborative atmosphere where everyone is passionate about their work. Most importantly, I love working on projects that matter to me and have the potential to make a significant impact on our world’s future.”   We are thrilled to have Aleksandr and Asad with us!
