“When I was looking for a new hand unit the Hi-5 was an easy choice to make; it’s ergonomic, lightweight yet still has unbeatable build quality. If you look around any set here in London, 90% of the time you’re shooting on the ALEXA Mini, Mini LF or ALEXA 35, and the Hi-5 just works seamlessly with the ARRI Ecosystem. For the odd time when I’m using a 3rd party camera the RIA-1 works fantastically as a motor controller, or for a lightweight build I can run an RF motor and still have LDA and camera control. There are loads of hand units in the market at the moment and they all seem to excel in some aspects and fall short in others; I feel like the Hi-5 is the only unit that excels in all aspects: good range, build quality, useful features and ease of use. I couldn't be happier with it!” -- Focus puller Flynn Dennison #ARRI #ARRIECS #ARRIHi5 #focuspuller #cameradepartment #1stac

“I heard about the CPO program through a Facebook group. Owning an ARRI camera was a dream of mine, and it came true when I purchased a camera through the CPO program at a really nice price point. I chose the ALEXA Mini because of the color science and the small form factor, which facilitates its use in many shooting scenarios. I shoot narrative, commercial, and music videos, but the main reason why I bought the ALEXA Mini was for a TV series I will soon be shooting. I want to continue buying equipment from ARRI because they are reliable and professional. My CPO experience was very good; everyone at ARRI was really kind with me.” - - Cinematographer Arthur Oswald Koya from Abidjan, Còte d'Ivoire #ARRI #ALEXAMini #ARRICPO #CertifiedPreOwned #refurbishedcamera

Step behind-the-scenes of a new adaptation of the Holocaust trial stage production, "The Investigation," directed by RP Kahl and shot by cinematographer Guido Frenzel. They decided on a “live-to-tape” approach, filming on a TV soundstage at Studio Berlin with multiple cameras and 360-degree coverage of the action. The multi-camera package supplied by ARRI Rental included AMIRA Live cameras, which form part of the ARRI Multicam System and ARRI’s wider offerings for live entertainment productions. Cinematographer Guido Frenzel also chose some impressive lenses for the project. The Fujinon Duvo 25-1000 mm box lens was a standout, providing great detail and beauty with the close-up shots. Other lenses like the ARRI/Zeiss 16.5-110 mm, Angénieux Optimo 24-290 mm, Fujinon Premier 75-400 mm, and Fujinon XK 20-120 mm all played a part in making every shot look just right. The film had its highly anticipated premier at the Filmfest in Munich this June and is now releasing in theaters. Behind the scenes of the short film "Tempest"✨🔦 The studio setup for the second set was all about precise and expressive lighting. Director Gideon Merz and his team used two SkyPanel X23 as top lights, one SkyPanel X21 for the background, and one S360-C for close-ups. This setup, including DMX control, enabled them to work quickly and efficiently even with red-monochrome light. "As a longtime user of previous ALEXA models this was my first time using the ALEXA 35, and I appreciated it's beautiful colour reproduction and extra latitude. We shot ARRIRAW for maximum quality and finished the film in 4K, and it was useful to be able to choose from shot to shot whether to shoot in 4.6K or 4K sensor mode, effectively expanding our range of focal lengths without compromising image quality. The Signature lenses were the perfect partner for achieving the clean but not overly clinical look we were after, and I was especially impressed with the 45-135 mm T2.8 Signature Zoom, which we ended up using a lot - it is indistinguishable quality-wise from the Primes. It also has excellent close focus, which was invaluable for the many close ups in the film. We are hugely grateful to ARRI for supporting our film via the Screen Directors Guild of Ireland's ARRI ALEXA Take Scheme," shares DP Robin Whenary about capturing "Swedish Death" with ALEXA 35. The short film follows a minimalist who becomes trapped in her home during a severe winter storm. Without power, she is forced to burn her few, increasingly meaningful items to survive. “The SkyPanels X were essential for tackling critical lighting situations, and we were very satisfied with their performance. For instance, while lighting the Valadier Temple, we positioned two SkyPanel X units near the windows and one inside the cave, since we had no small generator sets that could be transported to the site. Therefore, we connected directly to the church’s power supply! During the day, we used them instead of traditional 1800 or 4000K HMI lights, appreciating their quality and versatility, even in the Pinacoteca to protect the artwork. At night, we used them to create moonlight effects and to illuminate a music video, making the most of the available colors and effects,” shares DP Maura Morales Bergmann ACC, CCS (@mauramoralesbergmann) about illuminating the Italian series “Alex Bravo – Poliziotto a modo suo.” The series, filmed recently in the Italian Marche region, follows the story of Alex Bravo, police inspector who is brilliant at solving cases but very disorganized in his personal life. #ARRI #ARRIItalia #ARRILighting #SkyPanelX #SkyPanel #ledlighting #behindthescenes
