🔥 While the Olympic flame passed through Lille on July 2nd, we at Decathlon Digital seized this moment to launch our own sporting challenge—the Digital Flame Relay. From June 24th to July 7th, this initiative aimed to connect our digital offices through a unique relay event. Initiated by Rémi Guyon and Maria Ferreira, Facility Managers at Decathlon Digital, the aim of the challenge was to cover as many kilometers as possible through different sporting activities in teams of 5. To track these kilometers, Rémi worked with Nancy Huet, Advanced Data Analyst to create a special dashboard on the Decathlon Coach app, ensuring that we used our internal tools to track the challenge. With 45 teams and over 1,336 sports sessions in 25 different sports, our teams collectively covered an impressive distance of 18,156 kilometers, equivalent to the distance of 5 "Tour de France" 🚴♀️ 🚴♂️ with the best team covering a distance of 2,376 km. We extend our warmest thanks to the Decathlon Coach team and the Data Sport Experience team for designing and developing the dashboard, to David Laporte from the Rive Gauche cycle store for the loan of his equipment, and to everyone who took part in the challenge, or helped with communication at the four sites, as well as to the torchbearers who carried the flame between our sites. #DecathlonDigital #DigitalFlameRelay #Paris2024 #TeamSpirit #SportsCulture #OlympicGames
