Since its creation in 2010, the Chile Green Building Council has worked with the purpose of promoting sustainable construction, technological innovation, efficient use of resources, development and use of the different certification systems available in Chile, to improve the quality of life, health and well-being of people and their communities. Our mission is to promote sustainable construction, promote education and articulate strategies throughout the life cycle of buildings in Chile, ensuring balance in the social, environmental and economic fields, for the well-being of people and their communities. Our vision is to be the national benchmark in the field of sustainable construction through the management of innovative projects and the intersectoral and interdisciplinary articulation, leading the transformation of the industry throughout the entire value chain.
ACTIVITY RELATED TO LOW GHG AND ENERGY CONSUMPTION AND RESILIENT BUILDINGS
We are currently the only organization in Chile working specifically in development sustainability for the construction sector, we have unique projects such as a material and products and a professionals platform and since 2010, we have been leading the training of professionals in terms of sustainable construction and professional accreditations and we have been part of the main boards and working tables for regulations, initiatives and public policies. We are currently part of the initiatives Better Places for People, Advancing Net Zero of the WorldGBC and starting to work with the Cities Climate Action Project with local municipalities.
