MAIN GOALS - GENERAL ACTIVITIES - FIELD OF EXPERTISES

The Ministry of National Territory Planning, Land Planning, Housing and City Policy in Morocco focuses among others on addressing sub-standard housing and constructing and re- building housing units to meet current standards and to achieve cities without slums. The Ministry has the following areas of intervention: Integrating disadvantaged neighborhoods and promoting social cohesion; renovating and renewing urban areas; managing new urbanization; and improving attractiveness and competitiveness of cities overall. On low-carbon, energy efficient buildings and construction, Morocco co-launched the programme 'Energy Efficiency in Buildings' at COP22. Recipient countries include Morocco, Senegal, Tunisia, and Mexico.

Energy/climate/buildings-related activities: At COP22, Morocco co-launched the programme 'Energy Efficiency in Buildings'.
