MAIN GOALS - GENERAL ACTIVITIES - FIELD OF EXPERTISES

Founded in 2010, iPHA is the global network of Passive House stakeholders including architects, tradespeople, planners, scientists, suppliers, manufacturers, contractors and property developers. It works to promote the Passive House Standard and foster a greater public understanding of its significance. Encouraging the exchange of Passive House knowledge, iPHA communicates with the media, governments and policymakers, the general public and the entire range of construction professionals.

The Passive House Association (iPHA) and its international affiliates recognise that promoting comfortable, high quality, and highly efficient buildings is key to reducing energy use in the building sector and thereby curbing climate change. The Association is an integral part of the Passive House Standard’s custodian, the Passive House Institute, and thus acts as a bridge between the global Passive House community and the Institute’s cutting edge research and quality assurance work. We connect a growing global network of stakeholders and see ourselves as a platform of exchange, facilitating international collaboration on energy efficiency in construction. Through awareness raising and networking as well as educational and communication activities, iPHA aims to drive uptake of the Passive House Standard worldwide.

ACTIVITY RELATED TO LOW GHG AND ENERGY CONSUMPTION AND RESILIENT BUILDINGS

  • Connecting the Passive House sector

iPHA serves as a communication platform for its members, where the listing of members and their activities in the member database plays an important role in connecting the community. Whether you are seeking companies, project partners, and experts or you would just like to share your experiences, iPHA helps you find other Passive House stakeholders both online and through Passive House events.

  • Forging partnerships with Passive House organisations worldwide

iPHA officially affiliates with independent Passive House Associations internationally that have agreed to uphold high standards in their work and have integrated their membership with that of iPHA's. iPHA works with affiliate organisations to encourage open exchange and strengthen links within the international community.

  • Sharing expertise on the Passive House Standard

iPHA disseminates Passive House knowledge by connecting the local to the global and fostering information flow in both directions to the benefit of all involved. Regular publications, press releases, webinars and community meet ups detail the latest Passive House developments. iPHA members communicate directly with one another on the iPHA Forum and Passipedia, the resource for everything and anything Passive House.
