Reall is an innovator and investor in climate-smart affordable housing for people on low incomes in urban Africa and Asia. Supported by the governments of Sweden and the UK, and with over 30 years’ experience in the sector, Reall’s priority focus is in India, Kenya, Nigeria, Pakistan, and Uganda. Reall also maintains a wider footprint that includes Ghana, Mozambique, Nepal, the Philippines, and Zimbabwe.
Reall and its network of in-country partners specialise in sustainable affordable housing and end-user financing solutions for the bottom 40% of the income pyramid, while also tackling systemic political, regulatory, and financial barriers through strategic brokering interventions. By evidencing the cross-cutting development impact of housing (a doorway to 16 of 17 Sustainable Development Goals) and demonstrating the investable opportunity, Reall leverages private sector actors and resources to transform markets and accelerate delivery at scale. Reall is committed to improving the lives of 100 million people in urban Africa and Asia by 2030 and to suporting the implementation of NDCs in the built environment in line with the objectives of the Paris Climate Agreement.

For over thirty years Reall has been supporting the delivery of affordable, climate-smart housing, addressing both mitigation and resilience challenges across Urban Africa & Asia. Amongst Reall’s partnership network are leading innovators in sustainable housing that utilises low-carbon materials and energy efficient solutions. All projects that Reall approves meet the EDGE green building certification standard as a minimum.
