[JOB OPENING] Circularity and the Built Environment Policy Consultancy - Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity is looking for a consultant to work on Circularity and the Built Environment!

The objective of this Terms of Reference is to deepen policy and enabling environment recommendations for circular affordable housing in emerging markets. This piece of research will build upon the first note written on net zero homes which established that those who are most impacted by climate change are also those most affected by the global housing shortage, and thus any measures to support climate change mitigation and adaptation must incorporate housing needs in order to succeed. Climate change and the global shortage of affordable housing are inextricably linked, and nowhere is this more so than in emerging economies which face the biggest burdens of both a changing climate and the housing deficit. The significant contribution that the construction industry makes to global greenhouse gas emissions also means that the sector, including housing, has a key role to play in climate change mitigation and adaptation, and the adoption of more sustainable inclusive practices.

Deadline to apply is 2 January 2023.
