Meet the newest star player on our team at Sofascore - Marta Bihar, our new Business Development Team Lead. ✨ Marta brings a wealth of experience to the field, having honed her skills and strategy in her previous role as a Sales Team Lead for 8 years. Off the clock, Marta channels her competitive spirit and love for the fast lane into her passions for Formula 1, sailing, and windsurfing. It's that time of the year again — Sofascore Academy graduation! 🎉 We are proud to see such strong interest in our Academy, making it a rewarding challenge each year to select the top candidates for our five courses: Backend, Frontend, Android, iOS, and Data Science. This year, we received over 500 applications, and from those, 56 exceptional individuals made the cut. We're thrilled to announce that 43 of them have crossed the finish line and graduated. 💪 To celebrate their hard work and success, we organized a small gathering where they received diplomas and gifts, with some even scoring job offers. Whether you're a sports fan or a member of a sports organization, Sofascore Editor allows you to contribute to the Sofascore app. A recent standout example is Kutija šibica, the most famous Croatian mini-football tournament. This tournament has been played for 52 years in three categories: men’s, women’s, and veterans. Over the years, many famous footballers such as Luka Modrić, Eduardo da Silva, Robert Prosinečki, Igor Bišćan, and Branko Strupar have participated. ⚽ In its latest edition, spanning over a month and 300 matches, the tournament saw participation from 300 teams and 3500 players from different countries. The final is broadcast on national television, which says a lot about the magnitude of the competition. Last year, we began our partnership and helped digitize the competition. No more need for papers, Excel sheets, and other outdated solutions. Inspired by the beautiful location of the Sunset Sports Media Festival, of which we are proud partners, we decided to organize the first 𝐒𝐨𝐟𝐚𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐍𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐚𝐲𝐬 just before the festival, inviting partners from all over the world to join us for this kickoff event. 🌎 On the first evening, we enjoyed a picturesque boat ride around Zadar, taking in the famous sunset and celebrating our collaboration so far. The second day was dedicated to networking, where we presented our partners with updates from Sofascore and our game plan for the future. 🚀 A huge thank you to all our partners for their teamwork and for joining us at our first 𝐒𝐨𝐟𝐚𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐍𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐚𝐲𝐬, making the experience truly special. We are thrilled to share that the legendary Italian footballer Alessandro Del Piero recently gave an exclusive interview for Sofascore! 🔥 The interview was led by renowned Brazilian journalist Isabela Pagliari, and it took place in beautiful Zadar, just before the start of the Sunset Sports Media Festival, where Del Piero was a special guest. During the conversation, Del Piero reflected on his own team, discussed the favorites in the upcoming EURO, and praised the Croatian national team and the phenomenal Luka Modrić. Another year, another successful run at .debug, the largest developer conference in the region. 💪 We made a strong presence throughout the conference. Two of our colleagues gave lectures at the #deeplearning track, and our Chief Product Officer added a fun twist to his #devslife talk on product management by playing the tambourine. Also, we introduced a new #design track, and it was a slam dunk. All 16 sessions were packed, proving that we recognized the interest and need for fresh, engaging content on design. A big thank you to all our lecturers for their incredible contributions! 🫶 Our stand was, as always, the MVP of the event.
