We also export other materials at Glanway such as Shredded Tyres and Contaminated Soils. Over the past 10 years we have exported these materials to Turkey, Finland and Belgium. With 10 years of experience we have built up relationships with outlets in Europe that handle more than just RDF.

For a company to make it to a 10 Years it must have a good team behind it. Glanway have had some amazing team members over the past 10 years that we are very grateful for to get us to this point. From General Operatives to Administrative Staff and Accountants to Maintenance Teams every member has contributed massively to our growth.

On Saturday 20th July we held our 10 Year Anniversary Party to celebrate the growth of Glanway over the past decade. Our growth and success are a testament to the dedication of our past and present team members, business partners, and our wider community of stakeholders in the Port and beyond. Here's to the next 10 Years at Glanway!

Over the past 10 years we have loaded and unloaded countless amounts of containers provided by our reliable partners DFDS. From exporting Scrap Metals to Recycled Plastics and RDF, we have loaded nearly everything. Exporting to the UK, Belgium, Germany, The Netherlands, Spain and Italy just to name a few countries we have exported to.

2014 vs 2024! Ship loading hasn't changed much over the years but we have definitely became more efficient and quicker at loading vessels. From the images you can see the bales have also changed from round to square increasing our bulk density meaning our vessels are loaded as efficient as possible.

Glanway is thrilled to celebrate 10 years in business this July. Our growth and success are a testament to the dedication of our past and present team members, business partners, and our wider community of stakeholders in the Port and beyond. We had a very productive time at Plastics Recycling Show Europe last week. We witnessed fantastic product exhibits and discussions about the future of plastic recycling, and we found it to be an incredible source of inspiration and collaboration. Glanway had the opportunity to engage with like minded individuals from a variety of fields,exchanging useful insights and forging new connections while strengthening existing ones. The future of plastic recycling appears bright and we look forward to PRSE 2025

Our latest vessel loading in the Port of Waterford bound for Denmark. The ship will transport approximately 3,000 tonnes of baled and wrapped low CO2/low Plastic RDF! The RDF(Refuse Derived Fuel) loaded will provide a fantastic sustainable source for energy for our long term partners! #WasteManagement #WasteToEnergy #RDF #Sustainability

At Glanway we agree the first environmental priority with waste (which cannot be reused) should be diversion from landfill. The second environmental priority should be the processing of that waste prior to Waste-to-Energy to extract any of its recyclable material. Then and only then should it go to Waste-to-Energy.
