He has successfully completed almost 1.5 GW of Ground Mount Solar Power projects globally.   Naveen is certified as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, IMS Internal Auditor in ISO 9001:2015, 14001:2015, 45001:2018, Environment Management System, and Construction Industry HSE Management System. India’s economic development will continue to fuel the growth in its power demand. The increasing share of intermittent #RenewableEnergy in India necessitates the adoption of #BatteryStorage. The market is primed for the uptake of battery storage riding on sustained policy push and softening battery prices: ▪︎ Policy enablers announced to promote the adoption of #energystorage and battery storage in specific: NEP target of 47.2 GW / 236.2 GWh of battery storage by 2032; transmission capacity expansion roadmap with identified zones for battery storage connectivity up to 52 GW by 2030, notifying the National Framework for Promoting Energy Storage Systems to promote energy storage, announcement of a battery storage VGF scheme for supporting development of up to 4 GWh of battery storage.   ▪︎ An auction trajectory of 50 GW per year to be carried out by the federal renewable energy implementation agencies (SECI, NTPC, NHPC & SJVN) with clear mandate for firm and dispatchable renewable energy tenders which require battery storage. In FY24, a record 69+ GW of renewable energy tenders were issued of which the federal implementation agencies account for ~47 GW.   ▪︎ FY24 alone saw almost 8.16 GW of tenders which included a storage component. The GUVNL battery storage Phase II and Phase III, SECI FDRE II, SJVN Peak Power, NTPC FDRE and NHPC FDRE carry significant amount of battery storage capacity and will soon get into development phase. The recently discovered tariffs point to the increasing affordability of battery storage.   Meanwhile, India’s peak demand is rising consistently driven by the sustained economic growth. It hit a record of 240 GW in September 2023, increased to 250 GW by May 2024 and is expected to reach 260 GW in the coming months.
