Five decades ago at time when India barely had a manufacturing industry worth talking, Sh.Maini started his company - Maini Precision Ltd. A company, as the name suggests into precision engineering products. Having got himself educated in Germany, Sh. Sudarshan Maini understood the enduring German spirit of unmatchable excellence, quality, luxury and class that goes into making a true world class product. As a proud Indian he brough this manufacturing philosophy to India at a time when people rarely expected Indian companies to deliver quality products. Sh. Maini relentlessly continued his pursuit of excellence and world class quality through all the ventures he set up under Maini Group. I am very proud to see his worthy sons - Sandeep Ji, Gautam Ji and Chetan Ji carrying on the legacy of Sh. Sudarshan Maini. Their companies - Maini Precision, Virya Mobility & Sun Mobility have excelled in their respective business areas of material handling, EV power trains and Battery technologies. Chetan as the father of electric mobility created India's first Electric car - Reva and later on first battery swapping tech in India. The formidable team of three brothers carry the torch of excellence forward continuously making innovative world class products in India. It gives me immense pleasure to submit my humble homage to the great man Sh. Sudarshan Maini on his birth anniversary. Sh. BLR Airport in collaboration with Maini Group becomes the first Indian Airport to introduce a driverless autonomous buggy to enhance customer experience. This was unveiled at a launch event today in the presence of Mr. Hari Marar, MD & CEO, BIAL and Mr. Sandeep Maini, Chairman, Maini group. Currently launched for trials, the buggy with cutting edge autonomous technology and advanced safety systems (built by Maini in partnership with Infosys) has been deployed to shuttle passengers at Level 0 of the elevated walkway connecting P4 parking to Terminal 1.
