The company Hamar was founded in 1998 and has from the beginning emphasised services in the metal construction industry and general maintenance service for fisheries companies and other industries. The company has now merged its operations with Deilir Technical Services Ltd., NTD Ltd. and Vélar Ltd. and can offer a broader selection of products and services than ever before. That includes technical condition analysis of machines and continuous surveillance of machinery, design, production and service for pump and duct systems, maintenance of geothermal steam turbines and power plant generators and other services. The company strives to always use the latest technology available, such as 3D scanning for condition analysis and redesigning machinery, specialised software for processing and storing data, high-tech equipment for crack inspection and vibration recording for equipment in operation. In addition, the company has CNC design and production equipment for cutting, metal turning and milling materials which delivers maximum accuracy in the repairs and production of machine parts. Our customers can be found in all of Iceland's major industrial sectors, which are heavy industry, fisheries, power plants, utility companies, food industry and aquaculture. The company employs more than two hundred people in six establishments across the country. Our staff has extensive experience and broad education in the machinery and technology field that allows us to maximize the value of provided services. The company's employees have received specific training in hardware maintenance, which maximizes the uptime of the industrial plants we serve. Any suspension due to the maintenance of the industrial plants is carefully planned in accordance with the conditions of the industrial plant, the range of specialized service personnel and the availability of spare parts needed for the project is guaranteed. Skemmtilegur dagur í dag þegar árlega kennsla í Jarðhitaskólanum sem er undir merkjun UNESCO fór fram. Nemendur frá Mongólíu, Filippseyjum Indlandi, Kenýa og Tansaníu. Kennsluefni dagsins var hitaveitu djúpdælur, niðurdráttur á vatni í holum uppbygging dæla og rekstur. Seinni hluti dagsins er síðan vettvangsferð og hef ég síðustu ár heimsótt Hitaveitu Seltjarnarness en þar er aðgengilegt að sýna alla þætti hitaveitu á einum stað. Arnar hitaveitustjóri tók vel á móti hópnum og á Hitaveita Seltjarnarness heiður skilinn fyri að vera tilbúin að taka á móti nemendum í jarðhitaskólanum.

Í síðast liðinni viku fóru okkar menn í heimsókn til Vestmannaeyja. Tilgangur heimsóknarinnar var að skoða staðsetningu og undirbúa afhendingu á súrefnis framleiðslukerfi frá Oxymat. Þetta er stærsta slíka kerfi sem hefur verið pantað til Íslands og er áætluð afhending í lok sumars. LAXEY https://lnkd.in/eEyw-DN2 hefur enga örugga leið til að tryggja aðgengi eldisins að súrefni aðra en að framleiða það sjálfir, til að vera vissir um öryggi og gæði var ekkert annað en Oxymat og HD í boði!

Corrosion in steam diaphragms - depending on the intensity - is one of the most time-consuming damages to repair. This time : 🔸 9 welded passes around the entire circumference 🔸 over 40 meters of weld in total 🔸 almost 40 hours of precise TIG welding.
