We are delighted that Affidea's Fortius Clinic was one of the sponsors of the #Wimbledon Guild charity golf day at Royal Wimbledon Golf Club. Through ticket sales, sponsorship, auction, raffle and donations, the day raised £56,000. The money will be used to buy a new people carrier so the community charity can continue to support the people who need it across the London Borough of Merton. Affidea Lietuva organised a basic aviation medicine course for 12 of our doctors. The course was 60 hours online, and the practical part was held in Vilnius by the #ESAM Academy. The team also took flight simulation training at BAA Academy. 🛩 💙 Dr. Andrius Vaitiekus, Orthopedic Surgeon at Affidea Lietuva, stated: “A doctor certified in aerospace medicine! In addition to the profession of orthopaedic traumatologist, from now on, I will be able to consult and check the health of the pilots. An interesting fact is that the most common cause of the sudden inability of pilots to work already in the air is gastrointestinal disorders (which account for almost 20% of all causes), such as abdominal pains. During the training, I learned that during the inspections, the maximum attention is paid to the psycho-emotional #health of the pilots in order to minimise the risk of related aviation incidents.” Congratulations to Vitalijus Orlovas and the entire Affidea Lietuva team!

Affidea is expanding in Athens with a brand new medical centre in Patision! We're bringing modern health services closer to our patients, right in the heart of Athens. Our new centre blends cutting-edge technology with the rich cultural heritage of the city, offering outstanding accessible medical facilities. The design of the spaces and constructions in the building were made with accessibility in mind for people with disabilities and mobility difficulties. The centre offers a wide range of services, including #laboratory analysis, advanced #diagnostic imaging as well as a Check-Up Department, and #homecare services. 💙 In addition, the second floor of the building houses the Affidea City Med #Dermatology Centre, the eighth of this kind in our network in Greece, providing comprehensive Dermatology and Medical Aesthetics services. Affidea participated in the conference "The Future of Healthcare in Greece". The event, “Shaping a Healthy Tomorrow: The Road to Value-Based Healthcare,” focused on the importance of adopting a #healthcare model that emphasises real and sustainable #value for society. 40 leading experts across Greece and abroad, authorities and distinguished Greek and foreign academics participated in the conference, presenting new initiatives at the European and global level towards a promising future for Health. Affidea Greece was represented by Athanasios Lopatatzidis, Commercial Director, who was a member of the conference’s Organizing Committee and coordinated the session on “#Insurance in the era of value-based healthcare.”

During the session, Barry Downes stated, “Scalability has been key to Affidea’s remarkable growth. We’ve expanded our reach across 15 geographies, increased our number of centres to +360 facilities, and diversified our services from diagnostic imaging to comprehensive outpatient care.  Today, we proudly serve over 14 million patients annually. Ireland is a great proxy for the Affidea story - we transitioned from purely diagnostic imaging in 2017, commencing outpatient services in 2018 and expanding into day surgery by 2021. 2025 will see the opening of our new Orthopaedic Centre of Excellence, bringing world-class Orthopaedics to the people of Northern Ireland. Our growth is fueled by strategic capital investments, sharing best practices across Affidea countries, and ensuring we have the right people in place at the right time."
