The sense and nonsense of the four-day workweek at AFAS. 💥 Is it a brilliant marketing stunt doomed to fail, or a wonderful example that more companies should follow? This time, pen pals Geert-Jan Waasdorp and Rina Joosten-Rabou discuss (in Dutch) the several practical questions that arise. How do you deal with: managing existing free days, hybrid working arrangements and potential stress from condensed workweeks? Are you reading along? 📖

FOMO of #AI? You are not the only one and rightly so... A.I. promises big boosts in efficiency and value, but how much have talent acquisition leaders actually benefited from it? 🏹 We discussed the do's and don'ts during the Summer Leadership Dinner organised with WeAreKeen | Talent Partners. Some take-aways from the panel discussion together with industry experts Rina Joosten-Rabou and Hung Lee with guidance from Doeke Geertsma: ⛏ It's hard to start experimenting if you are overloaded with work. One suggestion was to set aside specific time - for example during summer - to research and test. Another suggestion is to nominate specific team members to run dry runs, as change starts with small steps. 📈 Getting buy-in from leadership is crucial to fully benefit from A.I. Pera found specific patterns in leaders that outperform others in innovation. Key in getting leadership on board is to create business cases including switching costs. 🤖 Define your real problem first, then look into A.I. solutions. Although most A.I. tools focus on efficiency gains - for example in automation of writing vacancy texts or summarising notes - the real value lies in understanding what is hurting your company or hiring practices the most? Most companies have issues hitting their financial growth metrics, which means that we need intelligence to predict job success early in the recruitment process. 📢 Data security and privacy are a crucial part of selecting the right vendor or partners. Involve your DPO to assess your partners which avoids bad experiences later-on.
