Your future ecosystem

You will join two technical writers in our documentation team and you collaborate with many teams within the company in the likes of Product Owners, development teams, UX, Technical Support, Priva Academy.

Between Rotterdam and The Hague, you find the greenhouse capital of the world: “Het Westland”, where our campus is located in De Lier. We emerged from our knowledge of climate control in glasshouses, but we expanded our knowledge to Building Automation.

Priva started as a hardware company and transformed into an innovative software company that grew to become the global market leader in horticulture and building automation. Today we are a high-tech company that develops hardware, software and digital services in the field of climate control, energy-saving and optimal reuse of water. We do this for horticulture, indoor and city farming, as well as utility buildings such as offices, retail, hotels and hospitals.

Our next step is to conquer the digital domain and become a digital service provider, selling subscriptions to "climate as a service".

We are proud to be working with over 600 colleagues, in 16 international branch offices divided over 12 countries together with over 400 international installation partners to deliver our sustainable solutions and services in more than 100 countries.

How You Add Value

Together with your two colleagues, you are responsible for the technical documentation for all hardware and software that Priva develops, such as installation manuals and online help. Additionally, you manage UI translations for the software that Priva develops.

This role is not only about writing technical documentation. We are looking for someone who will eventually take on a leadership role in the team and has software knowledge for the replacement and maintenance of the systems we use to create and publish documentation and manage translations.

Initially, you will focus on content-related tasks to gain knowledge of Priva's products, our work processes, and the software we use. Later, the focus shifts more towards the renewal and improvement of processes and software we work with. Also, you can elevate the documentation to a higher level by making it more suitable for today's products and services.

Who You Are

We are looking for a versatile person; someone with leadership qualities, structured, attention to detail, and a strong understanding about and affinity for technical products. Furthermore, we will read your resumé to find:

• Minimum Bachelor working and thinking level;
• Experience in a similar position within a software development department is a big plus, but recent graduates are encouraged to apply
• Excellent command of the English and Dutch language, both spoken and written. A third language is a big plus
• Experience working with a Component Content Management System (CCMS) is a nice to have
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, UI translation management software would be nice
• Confident in managing stakeholder expectations and pushing for clarifying documentation requirements
• Currently living in the Netherlands.

• A gross salary based on your experience in the range of € 2.500 and € 4.000,- based on 40 hours a week;
