To continue with our Member Highlights series, this time we would like to shine the spotlight on someone who has been, not only a strong member of the Women in Tech community, but also a key support during our yearly conference 💪⚡ Linda Rydälv (f.d. Heikkilä) has been part of the WIT Conference volunteers group for several years: super active within the group and always ready to help out. 👩💻 She is self-employed and finds herself developing and launching Databi, an innovative e-learning platform in data, analytics and business intelligence. “Databi’s goal is to make data analytics and business intelligence accessible and understandable to everyone, especially for women who are considering changing careers and want to develop in the tech industry.” 💜 Her main advice a any aspiring woman in tech is: “Tech is a broad field, so don’t be afraid to explore different areas to find what truly excites you. Stay curious and keep learning.” Read the rest of the interview on our website and get to know fellow members 👇 https://lnkd.in/gXujYtRQ

Women In Tech Sweden omdelade detta
In a world where technology is advancing rapidly, can we say the same for diversity and gender equality within the industry? 💡 Six years ago, 40% of Women in Tech's members considered leaving the tech sector; today, that number has been halved. This is progress but what else can be done. I'm excited to be at #Almedalen also this year, and I'll be joining forces with, the amazing Åsa Johansen and Elin Eriksson from Women In Tech Sweden and our knowledgeable panelists Åsa Zetterberg and Caroline Farberger. In our session titled "Diversity in the Tech Industry: What's the Next Step?", we will explore strategies and key success factors for fostering an inclusive industry. This is not only a matter of relevance but also one that significantly influences business performance and success. Creating an inclusive work environment encourages diversity of thought and a variety of perspectives, which leads to innovative solutions and provides a competitive edge. 🗓 Date: 27 June 🕒 Time: 16:00– 16.55 📍 Place: Kopparsalen, Clarion Hotel Wisby Are you also attending Almedalen? At Women in Tech, we are excited to introduce a new series where we highlight our incredible members. This is a chance to get to know each other better and celebrate the amazing individuals who make up our community 🥳 We are thrilled to kick off this series with Vanessa Sue Smith, a member of Women in Tech Sweden since 2020. Vanessa is a talented Full Stack Developer and an avid iced latte drinker ☕✨ 💜 When asked what does the Women in Tech community means to her, she replied: “...Women in Tech is one of the places within the tech industry where I don't feel alone. In this male-dominated sector, it's easy to end up at workplaces where you are often one of the only women on the team. Every time I attend a WIT event or connect with the community, I am reminded that there are thousands of other women out there sharing the same experience. It feels like a safe place to seek support…” Read the rest of the interview and get to know fellow members! 👇👇 https://lnkd.in/g6KSxdfT
