Bank of Tokyo-M'bishi UFJ opens Myanmar branch

» YANGON — The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ said Wednesday that it opened a branch in Myanmar, becoming one of the first foreign banks to offer financial services there since 1963 when all banks were nationalised under the socialist system.

Japan banks to open branches in Myanmar

» TOKYO — The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp said Thursday they will set up branches in Myanmar later this month as the country's central bank has issued permission for foreign banks to begin operations.
