In #EmployeeWellnessMonth during June, we were reminded of the importance of focusing on our health and well-being. Driven by the purpose of wellness for all, our employees enjoyed yoga and Pilates mat classes offered by COMO Shambhala Singapore, freshly pressed juice options like “Lean and Green” or “Cool Down” prepared by COMO Cuisine, and healthy snack offerings by Culina. Through these initiatives, we hope to encourage our employees to take continuous and small steps toward building healthier habits for a better and well-lived life.

Congratulations to Pangium on receiving its first Michelin star this week! Additionally, we celebrate Malcolm Lee's Peranakan restaurant, Candlenut, for retaining its Michelin star. This remarkable achievement makes him the only chef-owner in Singapore to earn stars for two different restaurants. Read more: https://lnkd.in/gwNF4wKW

A Step Forward in Closing the Opportunity Gap for Women
Greenhouse Program : Coming together to upskill with goal of attaining sustainable employment "Thank You!" In 2023 DOT piloted a one- month programme called the Greenhouse, with the objective of supporting DOT clients to simulate a real work experience where they "worked" at the DOT office to further increase their skillsets, confidence, greater awareness around job opportunities and financial security. In 2023, a total of 33 participants graduated from the two runs. In April 2024, the DOT team onboarded 16 participants for the third run of the four- week Greenhouse program covering topics such as Time Management, Effective Communication, Navigating Technology, Financial Literacy and Career Guidance that can boost their employability skills. This wouldn't have been made possible without our funding partner, LinkedIn and with the support of many committed corporate partners. A huge shoutout and a BIG Thank You to our amazing corporate partners who facilitated the different sessions over the four weeks, Monique Tugas Pamela Foo Natasha S. from LinkedIn , Kathleen Chin from Ernst & Young , Jaycie F. from The School of Positive Psychology, Mengxia Tu Venise Ho from BlackRock, Charmaine Lowe @Chiarra Maria Sassu from COS , Prashant Joshi Sharon Elango from BNP Paribas ,Ulrike Agostin @Linda Ho from Cisco, Mary Lay Muay Tan Angeline Ang from GREAT EASTERN , Jeanette Lai Xinyun Teo from COMO Group who organised the Industry Tour and Hana Schoon Sophie Smith Sally Mok who kindly sponsored the food, laptops and attended the Graduation for our 16 participants. Together with the team at DOT, the past month had created impact for both corporate volunteers and DOT's clients. Indeed empowering women requires the community to come together to provide a safe and encouraging space to grow. DOT will continue to journey with the 16 graduates as they explore new career opportunities or seek growth opportunities in their current roles. Tuan Pham Sandhya D.

[The Power of Giving] We partnered with Daughters Of Tomorrow (DOT) as their industry partner to organize the Job Tour for their Greenhouse Programme for the second year running. The Job Tour of the Greenhouse Program aims to provide DOT’s clients with an understanding of the different roles in the retail, F&B, wellness and hospitality sectors at COMO Orchard. Our colleagues conducted walking tours of each sector, followed by an intimate panel sharing by four working mothers from COMO. Their powerful and courageous stories of how they overcame challenges to achieve financial security and stability for their families touched many hearts in the audience. We know that DOT’s clients will also forge their own pathways to financial security when empowered with the skills and support from DOT.

We are all ‘A Daughter Of Tomorrow’! At the recent @boutiquefairssg , we united as Daughters Of Tomorrow and celebrated the strength of teamwork! It’s heartwarming to witness our corporate partners and individual volunteers coming together, spreading the message of small but impactful giving. ‘Her $2 Dilemma’ is felt by the lower income women that Daughters Of Tomorrow seeks to empower. As Helen Keller said, ‘Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.’ We extend our heartfelt gratitude for the generous contributions of time, energy, and talents. 🌟” #wearedaughtersoftomorrow #daughtersoftomorrow #dot #executivedirector #charity #singapore #womenempowerment #women #socialmobility #genderequality #retail #partnerships Corporate Volunteers:- COMO Group GREAT EASTERN Still Photography:- @cookiesellerrr @casstronomie @eden__living Visual Merchandise of DOT Booth :- @dear.philly @medkarlek.inc Florist:- @fridaysgarden Calligrapher:- @sxnshineee.kong Individual Volunteers:- Bhajinder Kaur Raihana Azmi Lumin Hew Ying Jie Tan 📸@fellyloi DOT Staff:- Yvonne Lee Melissa Tan Yuan Ern Yong

Taking small steps for a greener future We believe in the power of collective action when it comes to protecting our environment. In April, we embarked on an impactful “Recycling” campaign to tackle the plastic waste generated in our office. From bottles to bags and packaging materials, our colleagues made a conscious effort to recycle 150 of them properly for other repurposes. It is inspiring to see how simple actions like these can make a meaningful impact on our environmental footprint. We also organized an in-house 'Sustainability Bingo Challenge' to inject fun into the workplace while raising awareness about Earth Day's significance. By choosing to recycle and adopt good sustainability habits in our daily lives, we are taking steps towards being responsible green citizens. Together, we can build a sustainable future for generations to come.
