We are excited to announce the completion of the acquisition by Rohto Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd and Mitsui & Co., Ltd. To mark this significant milestone, a special Enterprise Townhall was organized recently (14th June) at the Eu Yan Sang Centre in Singapore and were enthusiastically joined online by our regional colleagues from HK and Malaysia. During the event, we had the honour of hearing from Mr. Richard Eu, Chairman of EYSI, Mr. Kunio Yamada, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of Rohto Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd, and Mr. Tetsu Watanabe, Chief Operating Officer of the Nutrition & Agriculture Business Unit at Mitsui & Co., Ltd. The insightful session concluded with a Q&A segment, encouraging active participation from our employees. The presentations by Mr Yamada and Mr Watanabe gave everybody an exclusive access to the wonderful and vast organizations of Rohto and Mitsui. Our chairman Richard made a salient and impressive point that together with Eu Yan Sang, the three globally trusted brands have a combined heritage of close to 500 years. We are thrilled to share that our Clinics team recently held a two-week intensive course on the EYS-NUS Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Elective Program for a group of enthusiastic year 3 medical students from NUS. This annual initiative, a collaboration between Eu Yan Sang and the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, is designed to introduce future Western doctors to the fundamentals of TCM. Conducted by our experienced Physicians, students gained valuable exposure to TCM through a blend of theoretical lessons, hands-on practical sessions, and clinical attachments at Eu Yan Sang TCM Clinics.
