    We had an incredible time at Thailand's leading HR Tech conference - PMAT this week at Paragon Hall, where our Co-founder, Yuthadej Putamanonda, delivered an insightful session on "Technology - Enabling HR Strategies in the Cashless Society." Key highlights from the session: Gen Z and Blue collar employees: These underserved segments are feeling less optimistic about the economy and financial situation. Organizations that understand this sentiment, will prioritize, and will adapt their approach to care for this segment of workers which in turn will create a significant competitive advantage in relation to people recruitment, engagement and retention for their organizations. Focus on Non-traditional Employee Benefits: Trends are to start exploring new ways to enhance work-life balance and flexibility, with financial planning and education as pivotal benefits. Benefits of Cashless Ecosystem:  There are lots of providers for payday loans and Earned Wage Access in Thailand market. However, in order to maximize benefits and cost savings to employee, providers should look for providers that enable end to end cashless transactions as this is the new way forward.  Before COVID, Thailand rank among top cash use society with 115 ATMs per one hundred thousand adults. Thailand ranks in the top 10 ATM per capita in the world.  This cash processing cost eventually comes back to the employee user. A cashless micro payment system allow current borrowing cost of transaction to be partially subsidised by seller good and services. Earned Wage Access:  We also had the opportunity to share more about one of our core products, Salary Xpress, a Salary on Demand product (also known as Earned Wage Access) delivered digitally. Salary Xpress, a liquidity facility for employees was designed to address the 3Cs (Compliance, Cost and Complexity) for employers whilst for employees, it is designed as a facility to enhance liquidity management by seamlessly integrating essential bill payments and micro spending onto one platform, via a digital wallet. Finally, we were thrilled to engage with so many of you at our booth and appreciate the dynamic discussions on how technology can revolutionise HR strategies in a cashless society.     Financial literacy can significantly improve financial situations. In Thailand, enhanced financial literacy is linked to better financial decision-making and increased savings, according to the Asian Development Bank. Our core value of Learning drives us to help people achieve financial freedom through continuous lifelong education. Our MULA Learning Portal is a key initiative, offering gamified e-learning modules on money management, debt handling, and future planning, along with daily tips, blogs, and over 350 e-books. We don’t just enable learning through our own services - we’re also proactive in finding opportunities with businesses that align with our values and share our goals. In the past year, we’ve announced exciting collaborations with leaders like Bookcaze. We have also conducted several Train the Trainer programmes with our employer partners and have offered our training to schools and stakeholders that are interested in further financial literacy in the workplace or schools.     Did you know that same-sex couples in Thailand can't make each other their beneficiaries on their life insurance policies? In markets where same-sex marriage isn't yet legally recognised (although it looks like this may soon change in Thailand), LGBTQ+ individuals face significant hurdles in financial matters. This means they can't put each other forward as beneficiaries or face challenges being co-borrowers, hindering their financial security and future planning. We believe in financial inclusion for all, and although cohabiting heterosexual couples also face similar challenges, as Pride month continues, it's crucial to shed light on the challenges faced by the LGBTQ+ community in accessing financial services, especially in regions where equal rights are still progressing. We're committed to breaking down these barriers. It's a matter of financial fairness and equality for all types of relationships. This progressive initiative comes at a crucial juncture as we confront the stark reality highlighted by Macquarie's 2022 data: a staggering 63% of Thailand's adult population remains unbanked or underbanked. The urgency of this situation calls for immediate action.     Over the past few weeks, we have shared content from our action-packed days at Money20/20, showcasing our commitment to revolutionising financial access and inclusion in Southeast Asia. Empowering Migrant Workers: We announced an exciting partnership with Prepay Nation, a global B2B marketplace, to transform financial access for employed migrant workers in Thailand. With real-time, zero-cost cross-border mobile top-ups and recharges, we're bridging the gap for 4 million and growing numbers of migrant workers in Thailand, enabling them to stay connected with their loved ones like never before! 2️. Panel Discussion: Our founder, Lyn Kok, led a dynamic panel discussion on "Bridging the Divide With Fintech: Sustainable Lending Solutions for Financial Inclusion in Rural and Urban Asia." Insights from Dr.Jasmin B Gupta and Patrick Lynch, and Lyn highlighted the need for targeted approaches, fintech collaboration with big FIs, and robust government digital infrastructure to accelerate financial inclusion. 3️. BNPL Industry Insights: Lyn facilitated a candid exchange with Katrina Konstas of Afterpay on the future of the BNPL industry. While applauding Australia's regulatory enhancements, we noted the importance of financial literacy programs and similar regulations to be adopted in developing markets, to protect and empower individuals, especially in developing markets. 4. Luxembourg House of Finance Technology Workshop: A huge thank you to Paolo Montessori and Annabelle Albert-Fonteneau of The LHoFT - Luxembourg House of Financial Technology for inviting us to share with the Catapult: Financial Inclusion Southeast Asia cohort, our Founder’s and Mula-X journey during a workshop session. 5. Startup Recognition: In addition to hosting a booth and pitching at the Startups Hangout, Mula-X was featured as a top startup at Money20/20 Asia, showcasing our commitment to financial inclusion and empowering blue, pink, grey-collar and underserved workers.
