An exciting arrival at our yard this morning, our brand new extender chipper and trailer. This newest addition to our plant fleet allows us to be increasingly versatile on all chipping works. The KS12-16 ExtendaChip does exactly what it says on the label with the ability to operate at paving widths between 12 - 16 feet. With our 2 newest additions now ready for action, CW Surfacing can offer the ultimate in-house chipping package Including Extender Chipper, Deadweight and Grab lorry operated by our skilled operators and chipping crews. We now have the ability to tow the chipper trailer with our grab which allows us to further reduce carbon emissions on site by removing the need for another low loader vehicle on site. Project completion ✅ We are proud to announce that our works at Longport, Canterbury have finished. Over the last 30 weeks the team have been installing an active travel scheme in an effort to facilitate pedestrians and cyclists safer routes of travel. Some of the works included: •Over 3000m2 of HRA •1500m of conservation kerbs •Multiple new controlled pedestrian crossings •Over 3000m2 of new footway and cycle way •600m2 of tegular paving •New surface drainage •Presevation of an old water pump •New 20mph Signage We would like to thank our hardworking civils team and suppliers who helped us deliver this project. C.W. Surfacing Ltd are currently looking for a full time Cat C HGV Bond Coat Sprayer Operative. The key responsibilities of the role are: Loading, preparation and spraying of Bond Coat Cleaning and minor maintenance tasks for the up-keep and operation of the sprayer and tanker unit Planning of daily tasks for the cleaning, heating, circulation, filling and spraying to meet the contracting business needs. Completing all paperwork and administration tasks for the recording of spray rate application, inspections, and other legal duties Flexibility with start and finish times, weekend and nightshift working as required. Work in accordance with all legal and company Health, Safety and Environmental obligations The ideal candidate will have an element of mechanical knowledge and display a pro-active attitude towards Health & Safety and fully conversant with driver legal requirements. You should be able to work on your own initiative and be able to plan duties in line with the contracting programme requirements. You will hold the following essential skills: Cat C licence as a minimum (rigid) Driver CPC Digi Card The positions offer full employee benefits including holiday pay and pension scheme.
