Team Cartwright will be hitting the waters of the River Trent this August in the epic Nottingham Dragon Boat Race - and we need your support! As part of the Nottingham Dragon Boat Festival on Sunday 4 August, 10 Cartwrighters will be powering through a 250m race in a bid to be crowned Dragon Boat champion 2024. The event is in support of Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance, one of the UK’s leading helicopter emergency medical services (HEMS) charities, funded purely by the generosity of supporters in the community. With each mission costing on average £4,000, the organisation has a fundraising target in excess of £10 million for 2024. To help support our efforts for this fantastic cause, we kindly ask if you’d be willing to sponsor our Cartwright Dragon Boat, and maybe even join us at the event to cheer us on from Victoria Embankment. You can find more details and a contribution link via our fundraising page: https://gofund.me/fee36baf

The topic of 'grey belt' land has been high on the national news agenda since the Labour government came into power. The term has been somewhat controversial since it was first coined, and there is still a lot of grey area around the parameters that will constitute grey belt. With such land sitting within protected green belt land, this week's Thursday Thought - with senior account manager Kali Dennett - explores the controversies and opportunities relating to housebuilding pledges in more detail.

Oh, what a night! In its first ever outdoor event, Nottingham Hot Property delivered (despite the rain) and raised an incredible £36,000 for Alex's Wish - Cure Duchenne. 🙌🏻 It was a huge honour to perform as always, but made even better by forming the first ever Cartwright Communications boy band with Scott Giles, Peter Mumford, and Dominic Smith, as well as bopping to Take That with my regular bandmates Joe Player, Les Needham, Sam Fowkes and Matthew Hutton (not to mention our angelic backing from Victoria Green) The musicians delivered as they always do, and the crowd - not least our CC groupies - were class. Same time next year? 📸: Lizzie Songhurst 📍: Binks Yard

It's polling day for the UK, and it's one of many major elections taking place across the world in 2024. Our director Tom Snee talks about the importance of messaging and perception in politics, which has dominated the international news agenda since last week's Biden vs Trump debate. Does perception trump everything, or is there more to the success of a brand? #GeneralElection #Election #UKelection
