Hello LinkedIn👋 Posting on here is not something I’m used to but… This weekend I ran the London Marathon! 🏃🏻♀️🇬🇧 This was a HUGE personal achievement for me, I only starting running regularly around a year ago where I struggled to run 5km without stopping I am so proud of myself for completing a full marathon in 4hours 27 minutes! I really proved to myself that I can achieve anything if I believe in myself and it’s SO important for us to do hard things and push yourself out of your comfort zone! More importantly as part of all of this, Charles Clinkard have set up a fundraiser in aid of me running the marathon to raise money for Dementia UK. As this year the company are celebrating their 100th anniversary, the staff nominated a bunch of charities that we’d all love to support. As part of these celebrations and running the London marathon I am raising money for Dementia UK This staff nominated charity is a personal one for me, running in memory of my Grandpa (also a runner) who suffered with Dementia. I’d like to think he’d be so proud of my achievement on Sunday. Dementia UK provides life changing support to so many families who are affected by Dementia.
