Best of Coventry and Warwickshire showcased at Champions event 💪🏆 Coventy and Warwickshire's world-wide business impact was celebrated at the latest Champions event, which saw over 130 delegates gather at the Butts Park Arena in Coventry. Chris Allen, managing director of London electric vehicle company London EV Company (LEVC), which makes the iconic black cab, and is owned by Chinese conglomerate GEELY, said the region's global automotive reputation was as strong as ever. He said that colleagues in East Asia hold the West Midlands, which is home to the majority of the automotive experts in the UK, in high regard for its "manufacturing prowess". Last Wednesday Chris Allen, Managing Director of LEVC, spoke at the Coventry and Warwickshire Champions Growth Hub event hosted at Coventry Rugby Club. This prestigious business forum has been running for more than 10 years, hosting a plethora of local business leaders. At this bi-monthly meeting, Chris was able to give an overview of LEVC’s iconic history, state-of-the-art facilities and outline the future aspirations for the brand. This included a short talk on the next generation of electrified products built on the newly developed Space Orientated Architecture (SOA) platform and the importance of Geely’s continued investment into the region.
