We recently upgraded TITHEBARN LIMITED in Winsford from our 1.4 system to our new Imperium4Feed. To give a different perspective on the system, Serena the Compliance Manager give us a glowing reference from a quality point of view! We have used Datastor for years and it forms an important part of our production system but also the quality control. It was inevitable that the old and new system were going to look quite different from each other but I’m not sure we were prepared for quite how much things had changed. The visuals make it simple to follow the process of the ingredients through the Plant and an easy click on sections opens options to start, stop etc. This makes the process come alive and gives a clearer view of how the different sections work together. The use of “traffic light colours” also gives clear and instant indication of the status and location of sections that have alarms or warning controls. From an auditors point of view the graphics will show clearly what is in place and give a quick but concise overview of the Plant far more efficiently than the many flow charts in the HACCP study. Auditors new to the company will get to grips with the layout of the factory quickly and the audit will be the better for it. There’s a lot to get used to and we are still learning what we can do and how but even at this stage we are aware of a huge shift-change for the better.
