L&D initiatives that do well have this in common 👇 "They're the ones where there's full alignment across the board. "The ones where the leadership, the management, the employees are all excited about an initiative." Anita Anthonj. In an upcoming episode of L&D Disrupt, Anita explained why she thinks this is: "I have a sense that whoever came up with the initiative did the storytelling part really right." But what does that mean in practice? 👉 Understanding what leadership need to hear to release the budget and buy-in. 👉 Communicating to the mid-management why they need to free up the time for their employees to invest in it. 👉 Knowing the employee. and why they'd feel personally invested in it. Still here and want a bonus lesson? 🤝 Frame it around business problems that affect your audience. Let's say we have a problem that's caused by lots of back and forth or where the process means we're going over deadlines... We can frame our solution in terms of, actually, this will help us get that done in 10 weeks. "You tell a different story to different people.. it's about communicating to the people in a way they need. "I think that's what we've seen in organisations where you have a huge buy-in. "Everybody just understands how it benefits them, their team, their organisation, because in the end, most people don't care about the company they work for, right?"
