LAS relies on measuring the intensity of transmitted light to determine gas concentration. This method is susceptible to errors caused by environmental factors like fog or dust. The Power of Phase Measurement Here's where LDS shines. Unlike LAS, LDS measures the differential phase change induced by gas molecules. Unbelievable 🤯 This energy could have powered 161,000 homes for a YEAR. Instead, 127,000 tons of methane was pumped into our atmosphere in just 6 MONTHS… Yep, this is the result of 1 leaky well in Kazakhstan, discovered last month. That’s also equivalent to a YEAR’s worth of emissions for nearly 750,000 cars 🚗 It’s officially one of the worst methane leaks in history.
