🎬 As the opening weekend for the much anticipated Deadpool & Wolverine movie kicks off, here's a fun bit of trivia for you... We actually played a part in casting the smash hit film - yes, really! Online printing company Parrot Print came to us asking for a digital PR campaign which would deliver lots of high authority media links into their website, so we came up with a contest to find the UK's ugliest pet dog and created a landing page on the website calling for entries. When we announced the winner, pug/Chinese crested cross breed Peggy from East Yorkshire, coverage went ballistic and we had journalists on the phone from as far away as Australia and New Zealand trying to line up interviews with Peggy and her owner Holly. They even ended up appearing on ITV's This Morning, BBC Breakfast and Channel 5 News among others. 🔗 The results for the campaign were outstanding, bringing in 830 new high authority links into Parrot Print's website, and we've since won awards for our work - but even we couldn't anticipate what came next... After the success of the campaign things took an unexpected turn for Peggy when Hollywood got in touch asking her to audition for a major movie. Actor Ryan Reynolds later explained that producers had been looking for a unique looking dog to play Dogpool, the canine sidekick to Deadpool in the Marvel movie Deadpool & Wolverine. Reynolds said in an interview: "We were looking for a unique looking dog to play Dogpool. We did a Google search and there she was all over the internet, Peggy, the UK’s ugliest dog. I guess she really is the ugliest dog in the UK but she’s also the sweetest thing." Peggy was cast in the movie alongside Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman and she appeared on billboards across the world promoting the film and on many magazine covers including Empire. So, there you go. If that doesn't prove the power of digital PR and search marketing, we don't know what will! 🐶 🏆 You can read more about our award-winning 'UK's Ugliest Dog' campaign with Parrot Print here: https://lnkd.in/eJstjHtc

🏅 It's Link Of The Week time again and we're shining a light on a stunning follow link in Huffington Post for one of our longest standing clients, Gardening Express. 🌧 Thanks to a mild winter, wet spring and very soggy summer, we noticed a lot of chat online about people experiencing "slug invasions" in their gardens. 🐦 So we issued a press release containing tips and advice on how to attract birds to your garden to help keep the slug population under control, linking back to the client's new wildlife and bird care products. 🔗 Check out the coverage in the comments 👇

📈 We all know that digital PR helps businesses build juicy links to their website and increase brand awareness online, but how does all that actually make a meaningful impact on website traffic? ✅ No matter what your digital marketing strategy looks like – whether you’re pouring all your energy and resources into PPC and influencer campaigns or technical SEO and affiliate marketing – if you sell products or services online, then getting people to click through to your site is often the primary goal. The good news is that digital PR helps you tick that box. 💻 In our latest blog, we delve into the different types of website traffic, how digital PR impacts them, and perhaps most importantly, how you can measure the impact of digital PR on your website's performance. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/gJY8RpUm
