    Happy Friday LinkedIn! 🚀 Its been a huge week and a highlight for my work with Optamor clients has been the opportunity to work with Heads of TA across global IT and Defence clients, carving out strategic hiring approaches that outpace the competition. Below are some critical learnings that will help your business and hiring plans: 📈 Growth is in the post! - The UK economy might be experiencing slow growth currently, BUT the future is bright ☀ With 2024 into 2025 predicted to heat up, 48% of businesses are showing increased confidence in the latter half of this year. Exciting times ahead! 📣 Vacancy adverts are back! - We’re seeing a steady return to pre-pandemic levels of jobs advertised, with supported by market stabilisation and more predictable economic conditions. This is a strong sign of recovery and growth 🕺 💻 Remote/Hybrid decline - a shift in trends! - Only one-third of jobs advertised are now hybrid, down from 50% to 41%. Remote working is becoming less favoured with our clients increasingly valuing hybrid roles, providing flexibility to candidates that attract diverse local talent. 📈 Wages stabilising - planning for the future! - While wage growth has been significant in the UK (UK 7%; EU 3.7%; USA 3.1%), it’s now finally levelling out, providing favourable conditions for workforce planning.     ⚽⚽ It was the office Euros Challenge final this week!!! ⚽⚽ This week the teams were challenged to dress in their country's colours and they delivered! Over all the judges could not decide who took 1st, 2nd or 3rd place.     The semi-final of the Euros Challenge is up ⚽⚽ This week we challenged the teams to get their bake on and create some delicious snacks to represent their country for the international bake sale. All of the proceeds will be donated to Sophie's Legacy Legacy, an amazing charity the company strongly supports.     Here at Optamor we work hard to ensure that we obtain the best benefits for our employees. We also focus on not just the here and now but the future and how we can ensure our employees loved ones are also supported. We have partnered with Biscoes Solicitors who have provided our employees with excellent advice regarding their wills. This also included inviting partners, husbands, wives into meetings. We would especially like to thank Yasmin Peel from Biscoes for attending our offices and hosting a full day of meetings. This will be something that we continue in the future.

    Technology is vital in the recruitment process, not just for recruiters but for potential candidates too! 🤔 So... How can you use technology to improve the talent acquisition process? - Encourage employees to share their experiences online (think Glassdoor, Google Reviews and LinkedIn recommendations), as this will put emphasis on your company's benefits and positives about working with you, and in turn lead to candidate applications! - Consider investing in an applicant tracking system or talent management software, you can build a partnership with a talent solutions company to help with this! (Check out our solutions: https://lnkd.in/eRWes_WM) - Use data to your advantage: LinkedIn allows you to pull data from your followers/connections and you can use this to build a list of contacts! - Build your network online: it's invaluable when it comes to communicating and it can assist in the hiring process.
