WHITE ROCK PROPERTY CARE Ltd https://lnkd.in/e8u7UA55 Trustmark member (not for CWIE) and PCA member - not for CWI/CWIE The firm were paid a little over £7000 to carry out the Cavity Wall Insulation Extraction which they were called back a second time when massive amounts of insulation were found still in the cavities and in the loft (and in an internal party wall which they say they never quoted for but never brushed off so was left half full), when you watch the BBC Report video below at 3m 15s, it shows the BBC Surveyor taking one brick out of one elevation and the beads flow out. Obviously a lot more bead insulation left in the cavities. https://lnkd.in/eM4vNpmp #whiterockpropertycare #trustmark #britishassessmentbureau #PCA
Following the story aired on BBC last week of our client who had CWI installed that went terribly wrong, we have had contact from Trustmark with a view to carrying out a survey to identify the damage and what repairs are needed, with a view to getting the house back to being a home again. It's a small step forwards right now, but with a very hopeful outcome for the homeowner and her 3 children. Shame it took a story to be on national TV to get some acknowledgement and promise of redress some 3 years on.

An update on this client with some overview now by Trustmark on trying to put things right, better late than never hey! Shame it took a BBC expose to make things happen. A surveyor has attended a couple of weeks ago instructed by TrustMark to establish the amount of damage the property has suffered over 2+ years being sodden wet by wrongly installed CWI, and we are waiting for the survey report, with hopefully a robust plan to get the clients property back to a liveable state. City Energy Network Ltd emailed 4 weeks ago (through their solicitors) and offered to repay the client for the loan she took out to pay for the extraction, and stated it was without prejudice, and was accepted by the homeowner on a no prejudice basis to the clients rights also, but City Energy Network then weeks later sent an 'acceptance form' for this 'without prejudice offer' for the client to sign, which stated the client would accept the payment in Full & Final settlement, remove any rights to further litigation, and included a gagging clause for media or press and to remove any current media posted, which obviously the client was not willing to accept, but shows a continued and blatant disrespect for the client after everything the family have been through so far. City Energy Network Ltd has previously offerred months before, £5k, then £10k, then £22k, all figures 'plucked' out of the air with no real basis or assessment of the property, which the property is assumed to have a lot more damage to repair than what they have offered. Despite the words given to the BBC when questioned, progress is slow and City Energy continues to play blatant disregard to the homeowner. You can see the BBC article on the link below: https://lnkd.in/eM4vNpmp

Monday morning call from a concerned homeowner in Sheffield. "I've just had a knock on my door and the lad said if I have had Cavity Wall Insulation installed in 2012 or before, it will be installed incorrectly and I will be eligible to have the CWI taken out and new CWI installed under Government Funding" Homeowner correctly advised. Ionie has taken several steps to seek justice, including reporting the company to Trading Standards, considering legal action with the help of her solicitor, and reaching out to her MP Edward Timpson. "I've reported them to all avenues possible and it's infuriating because the justice system has just failed outright, because there is clearly a loophole in the law that is be exploited," she lamented. https://lnkd.in/e6xBJJn2?

Mr Cassidy - who has lived in Sutherland Road for 30 years - has been continually told by River Clyde Homes that a contractor would be sent out to remove cavity insulation that has caused all of the problems. Hello everyone. I'm looking for an installer who is doing extract & refill on ECO4 cavities with other measures, preferably close to the Northwest/West Yorkshire & Midlands.
