Was great to find a volunteer to wrap up and cocoon in the pobroll....although a full bed bath was a tad too much to expect 😆. Such lovely feedback re how it felt, and to stress that it was "non-threatening" ..which is why it has such a calming influence and reduces any bath time agitation. Thanks for being such a sport Elaine!

The OT & Care Show Westpoint Exeter 17th July 2024 Yesterday I visited the OT & Care Show. Although not on the scale of NAIDEX, I found several new companies exhibiting innovative, aesthetic, and practical products applicable to my clients. One of these is the ‘pobroll’- a brilliant solution for both easy moving and handling, and minimal intrusion during administration of bed baths. The brainchild of physiotherapist Pat O’Brien (pictured with me), the pobroll consists of a large waterproofed ’ towel’ that enfolds the recipient, enabling him / her to feel warm secure, relaxed and dignified throughout the process and for staff or relatives to control any unwanted movements with minimal restraint. I always like to try out moving and handling equipment as a recipient, so willingly took part in a demonstration. I found the Pobroll to be completely non-threatening. Even during movement I felt so relaxed cosy and cocooned that I almost fell asleep! Check out the pobroll on the link below: www.pobroll.co.uk
